It wasn't picked up, but we do have a recording of it. You'll notice some similarities to The Voyage of Scarlet Queen, including some cast, characters, and gimmicks.

My "head cannon" is that Phil Carney finally had to quit / leave / abandon the sailing life, someone else bought the ship and changed the name, and Red stayed on as the first mate. There's no evidence that this is true. It's just what I came up with.

I suspect the idea was that we would learn how to "like" the Captain in future episodes, but in this episode, you don't really like the Captain at all.
