My friend ran a tea shop near here and The Hoff was doing some filming in the village. He popped into her teashop on an off day, and people started spotting him. So he gave my friend a huge amount of money and said "Keep bringing me tea and cakes with that and I'll sit in the window for you and bring people in". She said it was the most money she'd ever made and he was very sweet :-)
