My first concert: My sister was obsessed with Shaun Cassidy. His debut album kept skipping in the same spot and after she returned it four times, Peaches said "no more" and gave her a five foot square cardboard promotional poster which she hung above her headboard. When he came to The Forum, 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝟵𝘆𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝟭𝟮𝘆𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲🤦. Yeah I'm originally from the Valley and The Forum was in Inglewood 3 miles (45 min 😂) outside LA. Neighborhood got rough so again bad to drop off kids alone lol But guess they trusted the parents of all the other kids in attendance...

I just caught a bit of that interview while driving. I'll have to listen to it on the archives for sure. American Gothic was an AMAZING show. I remember how surprised I was at the time that Shaun was the creator. I'd had posters of him on my walls as a teen!
