This track makes me feel like I'm in the midst of the twisters that wrecked the fictional Ohio town in the movie Gummo. This show always manages to bring the atmosphere. Nothing quite like cassette tape hiss to add a layer of murkiness to the sonic palette.

They thought I was crazy. I took them down to the basement. The warning lasted about a half hour. The tornado did damage to a house in nearby Verona. We get wind shears. One was particularly bad years ago knocking down hundreds of trees.

He's from Missouri (obviously) but I think he now teaches at Columbia. I had put him in touch with researchers in physical modeling at the time, but I don't know if he ever went through with that piece (he applied for a residency, but it was mid 2019 then shit happened)

They thought I was crazy. I took them down to the basement. The warning lasted about a half hour. The tornado did damage to a house in nearby Verona. We get wind shears. One was particularly bad years ago knocking down hundreds of trees.

He's from Missouri (obviously) but I think he now teaches at Columbia. I had put him in touch with researchers in physical modeling at the time, but I don't know if he ever went through with that piece (he applied for a residency, but it was mid 2019 then shit happened)
