I grew up fishing with my dad, often following him to some remote spot he was sure would be a good spot to get fish. My grandfather was even more enthusiastic about fishing. And I don't mind the "being out in nature" part of things. And I could probably pick it up again, quickly, if I had to. But I'm not so into actually hurting animals so much. The fish never did anything to me?

"First Contact" was one of the last episodes of "Dimension X" to run, when that show was winding down. This one has slightly better audio, and there's a few differences in the dialog / story. FM Signals were around in the 30's, but as we discovered in the "Empire of the Air" Documentary we ran, various rich businessmen worked to keep FM radio from gaining wide acceptance, until the demand was so high that they could no longer prevent the technology from spreading.

In my paranoid, drugged out, PkD version of this story, I imagined that the "aliens" were just being imagined by the crew, who were too high on pills to realize. But I guess that would be a hard sell for NBC, storywise, in 1955.
