One day I was giving an older friend a ride home. I had the Rhino comp Love is the Song We Sing in my truck. He thumbed through it a said: "I saw The Beau Brummels at Cal State L.A. in 1965, they were kind of lame."

He was a hippie/surfer draft dodger at that time, and he always amazes me with some of the groups he matter-of-factly mentions he saw back then.

I didn't tell him I liked them

Great songs by both combos. I haven't heard a lot of the songs. I have heard the singles and parts of albums. Like Bob mentioned earlier, there was a lot coming out and it cost to buy albums. Some of us had limited funds so we relied on radio.

A mother of one of my daughter's soccer team mates recently moved to NJ. I told her about the station, and the next time I saw her she thanked me for the tip. She loves it. Making small talk with a new employee on my staff I mentioned the station, and displayed the web site, when fortuitously Don-O's Hour of Crap was streaming. She found it hilarious. Later, she asked me to remind her about the station.
