Also, Handy... the massive stack we got from the WFMU tables was only about 30% of our haul, because the prices were so rock-bottom. That's basically the same attitude I've ended up with. I've never (knowingly) heard Taylor Swift. I'm sure I wouldn't like it. But she's makes pop music and she's a pop star and she's giving the people what they want. That's exactly what popular pop musicians should do.

First thing I knew about Her Swiftness was she was apparently Contempo Kuntry - like the fake kind. Then she switched over to TeenPop - which seemed to confirm that. Then I kept hearing about kewl things she's done - conducting herself admirably & for the benefit of Musicians everywhere - & that continues. Now I hear she's like the Biggest Live Act Ever or something...
I know she did that 'Shake It Off' song ...which I don't really know...
& oh yeah: she Writes mean dismissive things about ex-boyfriends. Or something...

Yes. You need a turntable preamp and an audio interface. I think for $100 you could get set up, but I haven't priced things recently.

I have an Artcessories DJPre II preamp. I think it cost $40 +/-, new, ten years ago.

There are so many possibilities! Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake provide rich sources all by themselves. I kind of favor "I Started A Joke" by the Bee Gees. Then there's "Is That All There Is." Michele played a good cover version of that one last week.

The only thing I wanna do with my Analogs is Rip 'em to Digital so I can listen in the way I'm now accustomed - & not wear them out any more. I'd prefer this to be 'lossless'. But I know nothing about the means to do this. People always point out ...this in itself takes a minute...
In no way am I pointed towards Analog as a Lifestyle again, as the true Hipoisie are supposed to be now...
Sure - it's good if the DJs I'm *streaming* do it... But they're a particular Species...
