...How does one Write Songs ? What is the Magic Thing.
...The answer - probly ?
It's just like how you learned Gittar repeating Riffs & Chords & playing along & Improvisng - driving your family insane - until you could.
& you just have to start out being bad & annoying - & enjoy it - &/or being ambitious enuff - that you persist thru the phase of sucking @ it...

This demo really kinda crushes the final version. Terry Adams just recently told someone I know about the Q actually doing demos for the Car Wheels album. Via Steve Earle I assume. It's not a great story and they kinda got screwed over. Still, I never heard anything about it before.

I saw Detroit Cobras at a small club here in N.O. (maaaayyyyyybe Circle Bar? Or Matador) and it was just amazing, one of the best rock shows I'd ever seen.

Their one(?) recorded original, "(Watch Me) Eat A Hot Dog" was based on a weird inside-joke website a N.O. guy did, called watchmeeatahotdog.com. It was just what it sounds like, people eating hot dogs on camera.
