We opened with Miles but had to move into Claude McKay, the VU and Dylan. The evening news is painful, people, but we people of conscience always outnumber the war-mongers, profiteers, monopolists!

Tom Thumb always cheers me up!

OK, ready for some John and Laurie talk! Broccoli soup is good, but I put in a purple carrot and it’s brownish purple.

I was dancing already!

I don’t put purple carrots in your soup!

LeoIRodriguez:

Purple Carrots are Natural!! Purple Haze Carrots Information and Facts
Purple carrots are crunchy with a snap-like quality and have an earthy, sweet flavor with undertones of celery and parsley. Depending on the variety, some Purple carrots may also have a peppery flavor. In addition to the roots, the leafy tops are also edible and have a fresh, slightly bitter, green taste. (google search)

Who is on bass in Admit it?
  11:40pm
Jill Kroesen:

John, you should tell that story on the Ear magazine, Facebook page!

Kerplunk!:

@Jill K (love your work!) ; bass on ambitions lovers ENVY album … me thinks: Peter Scherer – keyboards, synthesizer bass, drum programming, sampling, production.

Did put it in my soup, but suggests that nobody else ever does that

the darker carrots are spicer and more savory than a sweet carrot

Jill Kroesen:

That soup was brown. It didn’t taste good but not pretty

Peter Scherer has done consistently great work (certainly back in the day). Contributing innovative sounds to various projects - especially with Ambitious Lovers! Yet don’t sleep on Peter Scherer’s “Very Neon Pet” 1994 CD album.

Sorry about the purple carrot issue. Haven’t known any but standard orange!

Ooops/ Correction: “admit it” = ambitious lovers GREED album (not Envy 1984) … I still only have a vinyl copy of the awesome Envy album. I had always wanted to find a CD copy on the cheap.
