the water itself or the drain? if the trap water siphoned out or evaporated you're getting sewer gas. if it's the water itself is it the hot side? maybe a lot of mineral build up in the water heater. don't know what kind of system you have - apartment, home, well water, septic or municipal sewer etc.

Oh man, don't follow that with a Little Life, it's grimmer than grim but also so good. It's been a super popular title in Europe leastways the last few years, a big sprawling NYC family affair. My light relief after that is currently Pushkin Hills by Sergei Dovlatov, recommended if ya wanna stay russian for awhile.

Several possible causes. All dependent on what type of drain system you have. City sewers or septic tank & field to start?

Man. That's not so funny. You all could've become very sick. eColi and other lovely diseases via sewer water.

Has the town(if on city water) done any work nearby? New housing built? Fire Hydrant flush outs? Contact town ASAP if you're on a city water feed

Run the cold side down the drain for several minutes to see if it gets worse or better. If it gets better, do the same for the hot side & see what the results are.

As Dale said could be sediment from the water heater. I flush mine every month or so because I have well water. I also change my house filter monthly

iron in water doesn't hurt anything. just a bitch to clean. put a plastic sandwich bag with vinegar in it over the shower hear and put a twist tie on to hold it in place. leave it for a day and you should get a clean shower head.

there's a product called 'wet and forget shower cleaner' that cleans walls pretty well, smells like vanilla and isn't bleachy smelling like a lot of cleaners. it's expensive though.

The singer guitar player that night drunk while playing our set leaned against a door at the back of the stage and it opened onto the street. He ended up outside with the door closing on his patch chord. Kept playing and had to kick the door open to get back on stage. Total spinal tap moment. Band was Tyrannosaurus Dracula. Yup.

I knew a dude who pissed all over his big drawing and left it with a note for the Professor for his final critique. That student was the one person from Brown U. In our RISD class. I guess he was unhappy with the Professor, or just really talented and edgy. I’m just glad he went yellow instead of Brown!

I’d probably have to send you to the office for that one. Two weeks ago kid was “drawing”on her friends arm in my class. Toward the end of the period I discovered she was giving a poke and stick tattoo. I didn’t report it. Kids got in trouble the next day anyway. Tattoo kid didn’t tell principal she did it in my class. I’m impressed and have real respect for kid for not ratting me out!

Funny story...my only tattoo was given to me in the front row of photography class over three days. I walked into the art room and asked...do you have ink and pins. The art teacher said yes and gave them to me. My friend tattooed me while the teacher yapped. We put a book up in front of my wrist.
