Here are Eddie Cantor, Edwin Newman and Al Smith on the Abbott LP "The People's Choice," distributed in 1968 by the friendly makers of sleep drugs Placidyl and Nembutol (which became much more recreationally popular than this LP). I wonder why the horn rock of the late 60's early 70's (Chicago, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Chase, Buckinghams, Ideas Of March, Spiral Staircase, Lighthouse, etc. etc,) is somewhat sneered at sometimes. Probably the same way "band kids" were sneered at in high school. The whole horn nerd vibe. I always liked it. But I was a band kid, too so ... I love the first (double) album. Come to think of it ... who cares what I think?! Ha!
