This was my first time tuning in to your show, and lo and behold, I hear Sapat. I used to play in that band. And then I left town. And now they're getting played on WFMU and sounding great. Well serves me right. Anyway, that band has been through rough times. They're bassist, David Sauter, passed away last year. In addition to being an outstanding bassist, he was an outstanding human being and friend. He turned me on to WFMU. I remember stopping by to see him in the basement of the UofL library where he bound journals. He was streaming Give The Drummer Some on his computer. Here's to David and Sapat. He would be proud.
