Yeah it was quite boring, right? Those new songs sounded just like the old ones, except not good. The live R. Kelly documentary, on the other hand, is highly enjoyable.

I have no idea where it came from but there is a BRUTALLY bad horror film at my house called Werewolf of Woodstock and yes it is about a Werewolf terrorizing hippies at Woodstock and includes an animal loving hippie girl who tries to take care of/save him even though he tries to kill her.

escape from new york theme, very nice . . . this was on the first mix tape i ever made, along with a ton of moroder and harold faltermeyer cuts, way back in the late 80s. all laboriously composed from vinyl or on the tape-to-tape rig on my crummy boombox.

I haven't seen this in years, but I have fond memories of what seemed like annual screenings of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things on channel 9 in the early 80s.
Director Bob Clark later went on to do Porky's, arguably an even scarier movie.

I can't wait for the day when this whole "eastern mysticism" fad thing, revived from the 60s here in the last 15 years or so, reaches the stage where it becomes so norm that to reject and deny it becomes "rebellious" and "non-conformist." Dare to be the outsider.

I've seen Deathdream, been meaning to check out the others. He also directed A Christmas Story... and a few real stinkers like Rhinestone and Baby Geniuses. He died in a car accident earlier this year. Thanks Evan!

Also, Checkout Other Cinema's "Experiments in Terror". It's a compilation of experimental short "Horror" films.
