At least the cheese bothered to warn you away with its ammonia smell. Last night I baked some cornmeal bread and it gave me some hideous food poisoning -- it was not kind enough to repel me with an appalling scent. It smelled excellent, actually. I wonder what the frak happened. The eggs were brand-new from Stop & Shop.

I think "raconteur" is a bad name for bookstore/publisher.
To me a raconteur is that guy at the party who is pretty funny but
then you realize he is never going to shut up and that it isn't really
a conversation. I'm always the idiot standing there trying to interject something. This became an inspiration for a major component of my "not going to parties" platform.
Maybe the word carries a different connotation with South Jersey guys. You know, like how "handshake" means "break every bone in my hand" down there?

I jest, I am sure they are swell guys and it's a nice place.
