Playlist for Irene Trudel - January 14, 2008

Mondays 3pm - 6pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Music floating on calmer seas is "netted" by my ears and released to the hungry listeners. It's a stringy catch, but freuently live and always delectable.

What's wrong with it folks, give it a chance. I can tell you a place to tune in to where the music is really really bad.

How about the Thistle and Shamrock? Hellish.

Being scared is entertaining. Entertainment is the main purpose of commercial news broadcasting, including the weather. That's why weather reports of things like snow are always exaggerated. That said, even I was surprised by bone-dry pavement this morning.

I for one was sooo disappointed. Want snow!

Mon. 1/14/08 3:49pm From: north guinea hills

hate to tell you I've been waiting 20 years since I moved here
from Maine.....sigh

Mon. 1/14/08 5:20pm From: Parq

The music, especially the live set, would be perfect if one were sitting in a window seat with a mug of hot chocolate or mulled cider, looking out at rolling hills of snow. But since I'm stuck in midtown with a deskload of work, I'm content to listen to it dry.

Parq, I think that's where I am mentally today. Nice image!

Mon. 1/14/08 5:41pm From: BigJay

Nice and sunny here in so cal. 78 degrees.Guess that's why I left New York in 1970.My mind is clear.

Fri. 1/18/08 3:06pm From: johns

I think the Rachelle Garniez sounds nicely different. Like a cross between Rickie Lee Jones and ......hmmm, cant place it.

Why does everything have to sound so cookie-cutter to be 'good'.?
