good morning from the same time zone. we missed you last monday. this IS the way to kick the week off.
  9:21am
jonathan:

hey bad ronald. i watched bad ronald this weekend.
good lord. it was such a strange and twisted after school special. i grew up in the 70's and what was produced for television still makes little sense. twas a great, strange film and, truly, a product of its time. thanks for the recommendation!
  9:22am
Liz B.:

Hi Alan in Peru! Hi Sebastian, South America is in the house!
  9:23am
JJZ:

Oh, I have a DVD set of all those afterschool specials. I need to watch more of those.
  9:23am
andrew!:

hey hey hey from chicago! these are some great sounds to wake up to.
  9:25am
Bad Ronald:

Wow, that was quick. Thanks for the feedback Jonathan. I'm glad you liked it! I haven't seen it in ages. I'm gonna have to check it out again soon!
  9:26am
jonathan:

it's well worth a 2nd look.
  9:30am
Alan:

Could you give some more information about lau nau--is amazing!!
  9:32am
Liz B.:

Lau Nau is a Finnish group, really lovely sounds. They even recorded a few songs on their new album with Pekko Kappi (pretty big-time Finnish weirdo folkie).
  9:33am
Bad Ronald:

Yes, the Lau Nau track was pleasant.
  9:34am
alan:

thanks-- a lot!!
  9:34am
bwalker:

Break it down!
  9:36am
sqrl:

lau nau = Laura Naukkarinen. She records when her baby is asleep
  9:40am
Woody:

Hey Liz -
Listening from rural Germany (this afternoon here). Nice to hear your show live again, instead of between hunting for records in the station library! Rock on.
  9:41am
Liz B.:

Hey Woody, sorry I never got to say goodbye! Didn't realize you were skipping town so quickly. Hope Germany treats you well!
  9:56am
spaniel:

really great show so far. getting me ready to take on the world this monday am.
  9:56am
Liz B.:

How does everyone feel about karaoke? Love it? Hate it? How about Guitar Hero and/or Rock Band? Great or awful?
  10:00am
andrew!:

karaoke is the cat's pajamas! guitar hero's the devil!
  10:01am
Bruce:

Sparks fix. Thanks boxes of bunches.

I saw a guy trying out GH at a store. He looked very serious. It's a funny time to be alive, eh?
  10:03am
m:

guitar hero's greatest crime is moving some of the wankiest songs in history back into heavy rotation on college radio stations.
  10:04am
Woody:

I think I may actually prefer White Lion's cover of "Radar Love" over this Ministry version.
  10:05am
justin:

yah i'm not a huge fan of this version at all
/sigh
  10:13am
Bad Ronald:

WOW killer set Liz! Thanks.
  10:13am
spaniel:

the foot village and white drugs songs make me wonder if ADHD is really such a bad thing. karaoke versions would be a lot of fun.
  10:19am
Jonjjj:

KUNSTWAFFE!
  10:19am
dc pat:

the stupid punk is really working this morning, thanks.
  10:23am

  10:48am
Vicki - DO or DIY:

oh oh I'm late
  10:53am
listener michael:

Blowin' through the pajamas of my mind. Top drawer show today.
  10:54am
Parq:

Joining the party at midpoint today, with a quart of fresh strawberries (yay) and all of the big bosses gathered just yards outside my door for a photo shoot (bleah). I don't know from GH, but I think karaoke is oke. The difference seems to be, no one really takes the latter seriously (eg, the marathon finale).
  11:09am
Liz B.:

Glad you guys are digging the show, and it's interesting to know that most of you are anti-Guitar Hero, and pro-karaoke. Viva karaoke!
  11:13am
Drew:

I love both GH and karaoke. But karaoke is more bad-ass. Does anyone love karaoke so much that they have "go to" songs? Because I do.
  11:13am
bwalker:

what did you sing?
and did you have to go see INDY after all?
  11:16am
Liz B.:

If you couldn't guess, my weekend involved karaoke (which I kind of hate.. sorry!) and Rock Band/Guitar Hero (which I also dislike). Not only that, but I saw the new Indiana Jones movie, and it was pretty bad (aliens, need I say more?).
  11:18am
andrew!:

my fav tunes to karaoke to are billy ocean's get out of my dreams, get into my car, and r kelly's ignition! sexy time
  11:20am
Liz B.:

Billy Ocean! We were just discussing the skeeziness of that song around the WFMU lunch table the other day. Add R Kelly to the mix and whoa...
  11:26am
sueb:

what was that website?
  11:27am
Liz B.:

Download the entire Motown Meltdown album at gigantesound.com
  11:27am
SueB:

i dug the indy movie. cause i'm a tomboy maybe? and i took a 10-yr old boy who wore a fedora? maybe?
  11:29am
Liz B.:

A 10-year-old in a fedora would probably make that movie a lot better.
  11:30am
Cecile:

Gary Puckett and the Union Gap were so skeezy - "young girl" still creeps me out.
  11:43am
marty:

howdy!
  11:45am
HotRod:

Andrew...

I see your Billy Ocean and raise you a Rick Astley.

And here's a special post-Liz show video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf79MCuQ8jM
  11:49am
Liz B.:

Hi Marty, hi HotRod! Sorry I missed you at Legion on Sat night (arrived pretty late, but I caught Trent's DJ set).
  11:58am
kosta:

loved the show today...
thanks Liz
  12:02pm
Ike:

Wait, so Woody is gone? Not coming back? Huge bummer!
  12:17pm
andrew:

re: hotrod... holy shit!
