Tue. 11/4/08 12:16pm From: marionfrenchie

Tue. 11/4/08 12:17pm From: Kyle

No polling place stories for me. I sent in my ballot a few weeks ago.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:17pm From: Lou

GP...ditto...texas no lines

Tue. 11/4/08 12:17pm From: Hatch

Obama would win a lot more easily if the world got to vote, that's for sure.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:19pm From: monica

just voted here in west chelsea. longest lines i've ever seen for an election in this nabe. obama and mccain cupcakes being sold nearby. for $4 bucks a pop! part of the sugar stimulus package. thanks for being a radio redistributor, liz!

Tue. 11/4/08 12:21pm From: JCityJensen

Thank you WFMU for this special broadcast today!

Tue. 11/4/08 12:21pm From: dictater

shoot you people crazy I voted weeks ago.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:21pm From: GP

I think in Texas we had a TON of people voting early, so they expect the polls to be relatively light..we'll see....I'm going to stop on my way home.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:25pm From: Hatch

My Italian neighbor who grew up in Brooklyn doesn't like black people either. Her latest excuse is that world leader's "won't take a black President seriously." But my Italian landlord who actually grew up in Italy loooooves Obama.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:25pm From: Brian in OR

I dont think that's right -- a new VP is appointed -- see Gerald Ford.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:25pm From: ?

Americas got nothing on Thailand when it comes to elections. We have an ousted ex PM who has been granted refuge status in england because he owns a football team who was replaced in a military qou, who turned out to be so unpopular that he took himself out of office for compromising his political status by doing a cooking show and was replaced by the ousted, hated, hunted former MP's brother in law, by an act of pariliment. thats good fiasco

Tue. 11/4/08 12:26pm From: em2

Ford was appointed because Spiro had been ousted.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:29pm From: Jeff M

Really. You were born in 1980. That's when I got my first car...

Tue. 11/4/08 12:29pm From: Jim

Nelson Rockefeller was appointed, too.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:29pm From: dicater

plus tanks and amred millitai in the streets of BKK for seven months, now thats people power, aka PPP

Tue. 11/4/08 12:30pm From: Parq

Hatch and Liz know elderly Italian dudes in Brooklyn who don't like black guys? Who could have *imagined* such a thing??

Tue. 11/4/08 12:30pm From: dicatater

so was LBJ

Tue. 11/4/08 12:31pm From: Brian in OR

Wiki: "Section 2 of the 25th Amendment provides that "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress." This would seem to apply when a pres dies and the VP moves up -- there is themn a VP vacancy. The succession Andy was talking about is if P and VP are incapacitated at the same time.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:32pm From: Listener_T

The Speaker of the House is only next in line of succession for President if the VP is unable to succeed the President. The VP does NOT move up to the VP spot should the VP replace the President. The President would appoint a VP successor subject to approval of Congress, as happened with Rockefeller.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:33pm From: Jackson

I wonder why it wasn't feasible to have the Electile Dysfunction programming be the on-air programming.

Tue. 11/4/08 12:33pm From: Listener_T

Sorry that should have been Speaker

Tue. 11/4/08 12:34pm From: Bad Ronald

Tue. 11/4/08 12:56pm From: James Carville

From the War Room! Awesome! I love this song

Tue. 11/4/08 1:00pm From: Jeff M

My profound wish (after an election result which doesn't continue to drag the US and the rest of the world down into the dark ages, of course) is never again to find myself waking up with "The McCain-Palin Tradition" or "George Bush for Our USA" repeating on an endless loop in my head. Damn that Ken!

Tue. 11/4/08 1:03pm From: dictater

Oh no, Im looking forward to the post McCain Palling victory riots. Coast to coast car burnings and white people running for their lifes in the streets, nice...

Tue. 11/4/08 1:10pm From: dictater

Whats so great about this election is that the regular black person (and most whites) wont get a better life, or more representation under Barrak then under McCain or any other candidate, but if he doesnt win the riots will strip every best buy, wal-mart, and rent a center from down town buffalo to the bueatiful streets of Balboa park.

Tue. 11/4/08 1:21pm From: ?
