I think in Texas we had a TON of people voting early, so they expect the polls to be relatively light..we'll see....I'm going to stop on my way home.

My Italian neighbor who grew up in Brooklyn doesn't like black people either. Her latest excuse is that world leader's "won't take a black President seriously." But my Italian landlord who actually grew up in Italy loooooves Obama.

Americas got nothing on Thailand when it comes to elections. We have an ousted ex PM who has been granted refuge status in england because he owns a football team who was replaced in a military qou, who turned out to be so unpopular that he took himself out of office for compromising his political status by doing a cooking show and was replaced by the ousted, hated, hunted former MP's brother in law, by an act of pariliment. thats good fiasco

Wiki: "Section 2 of the 25th Amendment provides that "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress." This would seem to apply when a pres dies and the VP moves up -- there is themn a VP vacancy. The succession Andy was talking about is if P and VP are incapacitated at the same time.
Tue. 11/4/08 12:32pm
From:

The Speaker of the House is only next in line of succession for President if the VP is unable to succeed the President. The VP does NOT move up to the VP spot should the VP replace the President. The President would appoint a VP successor subject to approval of Congress, as happened with Rockefeller.

My profound wish (after an election result which doesn't continue to drag the US and the rest of the world down into the dark ages, of course) is never again to find myself waking up with "The McCain-Palin Tradition" or "George Bush for Our USA" repeating on an endless loop in my head. Damn that Ken!

Whats so great about this election is that the regular black person (and most whites) wont get a better life, or more representation under Barrak then under McCain or any other candidate, but if he doesnt win the riots will strip every best buy, wal-mart, and rent a center from down town buffalo to the bueatiful streets of Balboa park.
