Mon. 8/31/09 12:05pm From: Carmichael

Morning, Liz.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:05pm From: GP

Good mornign Liz , Annie.
This Roland Young track is very mellow. I thought this was a John Adams piece for a minute. Needless to say....I like it.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:05pm From: Liz B.

Hi all, happy Monday!

Mon. 8/31/09 12:06pm From: AlizaEss

I rarely comment here, but had to say that it's a very gray and cool morning (sweater & a cup of coffee weather) and this music is perfect...

Mon. 8/31/09 12:08pm From: russell

nice liz, very nice

Mon. 8/31/09 12:09pm From: stingy d

aliza needs pie.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:10pm From: kristin

great to tune in and hear the warm jets warming up! its cool and grey out here in Portland and this is what we need, warm jets.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:12pm From: AlizaEss

ooh, yeah... pie.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:13pm From: annie

all that talk of food and i am snacking on soft goat cheese and peanut butter.. and the last of the coffee..

Mon. 8/31/09 12:15pm From: chuck

Is that a remix or bonus track Eno? It sure sounds much different than my copy.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:25pm From: doug in DC

The remastered Here Come the Warm Jets sounds different from the older versions. The sound is clearer, but it loses some of the mood.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:30pm From: annie

that book, "seven types of ambiguity" is right up my alley. looks like a great study..

Mon. 8/31/09 12:30pm From: Tom

Cluster sounding very good. Vintage even!

Mon. 8/31/09 12:41pm From: dragonflyshards

Liz i expect you'll rock out later, but right now you're right on target. Thanx

Mon. 8/31/09 12:42pm From: Sam

So psyched for Jessie Evans!

Mon. 8/31/09 12:50pm From: chuck

Thanks doug in, I feel the same way about the re-Zappas.
Also, My vinyl Robert Fripp "Exposure" uses completely different music and vocal tracks. Quite odd.

Mon. 8/31/09 12:53pm From: Chris

my 'here comes the warm jets' cd has 'penguin cafe orchestra' and the info for that album printed on it

Mon. 8/31/09 1:02pm From: BSI

Reissues are tricky beasts. When Hawkwind's PXR5 went to CD, it had a totally different vocal track on High Rise from the original vinyl, which was such a shock I had to be hospitalized for hundreds of years. Or perhaps it just seemed that way.

Mon. 8/31/09 1:03pm From: dragonflyshards

'sayin...Warm jets is supposed to be murky and lure one into a fog..i turnedon ater it,oday...and i d want to here it,but-will it still put me in a meadow?or a cave?..or will it be a mountain top?...so,chuck, you're vinyl Exposure-as opposed to...CD reissue?

Mon. 8/31/09 1:04pm From: dragonflyshards

(orry about the tyos- keyboard sucks)

Mon. 8/31/09 1:09pm From: dragonflyshar

(turned / on;after;today;do;hear{my fault})

Mon. 8/31/09 1:12pm From: Blue Screen of Death

General Protection Fault

Mon. 8/31/09 1:16pm From: Carmichael

Someone messed with Hawkwind, BSI? I wished they'd take the silly phaser effect out of their otherwise great music, instead of messing with the voices.

Mon. 8/31/09 1:31pm From: Dean Moriarty

Ramblings!?

Mon. 8/31/09 1:34pm From: dragonflyshards

Dino- & missing link reminded me of Wire, which reminds me that i heard Buzzcocks on the PA at Trader Joe's this morning. (!)(well,i was surprised...) ...........(ramblings?)

Mon. 8/31/09 1:36pm From: Liz B.

Wow, the Buzzcocks at Trader Joe's?? Almost as good as "Lust for Life" being in an ad for a cruise ship!

Mon. 8/31/09 1:37pm From: m p

great show, i love kraus. check him out at http://kraus.co.nz/

Mon. 8/31/09 1:41pm From: Jay from Scotland

YES!

Mon. 8/31/09 1:42pm From: Chris, not Chris

Wish my Trader Joe's was that cool. My favorite is stil when Flying Saucer Atack was used for a Saturn commercial.

Mon. 8/31/09 1:48pm From: dragonflyshars

beautiful !...That sounds like an ad i can sit through !

Mon. 8/31/09 1:55pm From: Jay from Scotland

YES to this too

Mon. 8/31/09 1:56pm From: Liz B.

Hi Jay, hope all is well in Scotland!

Mon. 8/31/09 1:59pm From: Jay from Scotland

Just returned from cosmic visit to Loch Ness, one v strange gorgeous place...

Mon. 8/31/09 2:14pm From: Men in BLack

Jay,you don't remember what you REALLY saw there now do you? Good...we thought so.

Mon. 8/31/09 2:18pm From: The Log Lady

I'm liking these Jessie Evans tracks! Where's she been all my life?

Mon. 8/31/09 2:18pm From: GP

Don't slap me for saying this but the "Is it Fire" song kind of had a Romeo Void vibe happening there. That is not a bad thing.
Jessie Evans looks like she knows how to have a good time.

Mon. 8/31/09 2:19pm From: Liz B.

Jessie was in the band Autonervous previously (with Bettina Koster of Malaria!) and has collaborated with Glass Candy:

Mon. 8/31/09 2:20pm From: nyc

This is awesome! What's live and what's electronic?

Mon. 8/31/09 2:21pm From: tt

Definitely getting a bit of a Morphine vibe from this. Love it!

Mon. 8/31/09 2:23pm From: Manu

What a great drummer!

Mon. 8/31/09 2:23pm From: Liz B.

Jessie is live on sax and vox, Toby is live on drums, timbales, fish, maracas. They've got some backing stuff pre-recorded (extra drums, echoed vox/sax).

Mon. 8/31/09 2:25pm From: annie

this is great music!!! just great, and i was thinking the same thing about the drumming... as i bounce my head.. :)

Mon. 8/31/09 2:28pm From: maximum goose

Nik Turner style sax!

Mon. 8/31/09 2:36pm From: GP

It s pretty rare for me to like every song in set, but this set has been insanely awesome so far. I am searching around for some of their CD"s to buy.

Mon. 8/31/09 2:42pm From: Liz B.

GP, try centraleuro.org

Mon. 8/31/09 2:43pm From: Sara

There must be some kind of conspiracy in the canned-retail-soundtrack world right now... I heard the Buzzcocks in a 'wichcraft the other day! Which song did you hear, dfs?

Mon. 8/31/09 2:51pm From: GP

Thank you Liz!

Mon. 8/31/09 2:59pm From: Jay from Scotland

Five stars=this track!!!

Sat. 9/5/09 5:48am From: Матвей

Mon. 9/28/09 1:30pm From: chuck in ct

Thu. 10/1/09 3:18am From: _________________Матвей_______________________

Музыка, говорю, здесь хорошая. Кое -что слышал раньше, кое-что - впервые. Открыл для себя несколько новых имён.
Вот подучу язык, напишу, чтобы понятней было.
