Great to hear, Bill. Tomorrow, here in Portland, we're awaiting our first 70+ degree day of the year. Flesh will be bared, and I *do* mean beyond the Portland International Airport TSA security line. ;-)

Avatar 3:41am
Bill Mac:

I know whatcha mean Adam, one of the other DJs dropped their single into the must listen bin, never heard it before... they release a bunch of stuff in the early 90s that's worth checkin out
Avatar 3:42am
Bill Mac:

Looms! Seems I always clump them together with other skronky bands, like Godco frinstance

Sort of curious about R.S.D. There's a Carlton Melton thing out just for tomorrow. Our local store here, Harvest, apparently is going to have a bunch of stuff. They're just not saying what. Wow, Holgar Czukay. Way to go, Bill!
  3:47am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

@Gary, obvs, I know, but I'd love get that Devo live vinyl. We'll see...

Hi Gary, yeah sorry I screwed up that cue... haven't heard that gem for awhile
  3:50am
Gary:

  3:55am

Things are swell Adam, hope the same for you.
  4:35am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Thank you, Destroit, yes. Although thinking about Levon Helm's passing has me missing my grandmother who died last fall. But, that's mostly a happy thing. I just miss her hugs.
  4:35am
Destroit:

Eating legumes and itching a rash... Ohhh Bill Mac help me!!! Need a Band aid. Going great bill, love ya.
  4:37am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Damn, The Band was a pleasure!

Bill, you a fan of Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears?
  4:39am
JAY / LONDON:

never thought band then mccartney got me wrong footed
  4:40am
Brian in UK:

What a trio of voices, Richard, Rick & Levon. Saw them at the Albert Hall, a lifetime ago. I loved the way they just switched instruments in the most casual way. Apart from Robbie. Highlight was Garth wandering on stage playing the accordian like he had drifted in from the street.
  4:41am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Wow, Brian, I'm envious! I've always been most fond of Garth. :-)
Avatar 4:41am
Bill Mac:

You guys have just upped your game, so I gotta do the same... haven't heard of Black Joe Adam - someone I need to check out I presume?
  4:43am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Yes, Bill, he's pretty good.
  4:44am
Brian in UK:

To be honest I never liked The Last Waltz, thought it was taken out of their hands by Robbie & others.
  4:46am
Brian in UK:

Neil fuckin' Diamond
  4:46am
Destroit:

You can go pretty deep with the Band, would be good.
  4:46am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Yes, I guess there was a *lot* of tension between Robbie and Levon during the Last Waltz period. Ooooof.
  4:48am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Music from Big Pink is an endless pleasure.
  4:49am

  4:52am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Bill Mac, you're a gem!
  4:54am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

My friend Chris Slusarenko put out the Phantom Tollbooth album, I believe. Great guy!
  4:55am
Brian in UK:

Gotta catch the rest on archive, Bill. So little to do & so much time.
Ever heard 'Chest Fever' by The Band. Stirring.
Yes Jay, all to do with Robbie & his contacts. Bonkers.
  4:56am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Brian, you are so right! Chest Fever is a powerful powerful Levon sung number.
Avatar 4:56am
Bill Mac:

Later Brian! I thought I'd play Chest Fever....
  5:03am
Steve:

Late 60's was the Bands territory - wow could Robbie play guitar not to mention the others
  5:04am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I should say Chris put out the Phantom Tollbooth/Robert Pollard album. On Off Records. Not even sure if it's still being pressed, but he's an ardent WFMU supporter, and working on new Boston Spaceships music with Mr. Pollard.
  5:05am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I loved live Grifters shows! RIP.
Avatar 5:08am
Bill Mac:

Man, I missed the last time the Grifters toured.... what a great studio band. I need to check Power Toy and beard of Lightning out side-by-side
  5:10am
Tim Serpas:

Woo! Used to see the video for this on Austin Cable Access! Sock puppets!
  5:10am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Live the Grifters had all the looseness of Pavement, with more swagger. So great.
  5:12am
Destroit:

Rocket ship, I like it!
  5:13am
Daniel:

Avatar 5:13am

  5:23am
