Hope everyone is warm and basking in electricity today. It's been a long week for some here. Thankfully, the storm didn't affect my home, but WFMU is kind of up shit creek now.
  9:23am
HEAT:

My family in north white plains don't have power still... tree crushed one of their cars, another went through the house's roof. I hope WFMU and everyone else who is still in the shit get out of the shit real soon
  9:24am
fred:

Good morning Liz, I hope to see a wagging dog tail soon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am
Liz B.:

Ugh, sorry to hear about your family, HEAT. As far as we know, all WFMU DJs are safe, but some did suffer personal damage, and some still haven't returned home.
  9:28am
listener james from westwood:

  9:34am

I worry about the people who will be struggling to stay warm and dry right now.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am
Ken:

The Mount Hope transmitter is on, but I cant deliver live audio to it yet. Right now it is airing out of phase surf guitar instrumentals.
  9:51am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am
Ken:

Anybody got an in-phase iPod we can install up at Mount Hope? Maybe one with a batch of WFMU archives on it? I'm serious...
  10:09am
lewis:

Here's a thought folks - you didn't spend all that cash at the record fair... Toss some or all of it into the Superstorm Fund. Thats what I did and I wasn't even planning to go to the record fair!
  10:11am
BSI:

Listening from afar! Cold basement, warm FMU stream!
  10:14am
BSI:

BUT, I did have the odd experience of driving through your necko the woods this weekend, including a bad episode of roadside assistance from Avis in Morris NJ. Saw much damage. Powerlines, trees, high tension in the streets.
  10:14am
BSI:

JG Ballard would have been fascinated.
  10:17am
Dave M.:

Mellotron? Beautiful!
  10:19am
Lucas:

lewis: agree with you. A last litle boost!
  10:24am
Kenzo:

Ken, go all the way with this idea: Install an iPod (or other smart phone) that can stream our public internet signal! Then we're back on the air.
  10:30am
listener james from westwood:

@lewis, that's exactly what i did. figured what my transit, food, record-spending costs would be and rounded up to the next pledge level.
  10:34am

  10:45am

Listener James from Westwood, you are marvelous, really, but WFMU is not accepting donations of internal organs at this time. Please hang onto yours for the time being.

Howdy Liz and lizeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am

Kenzo's idea is a great one, but there is no internet service at the 90.1 FM transmitter site unfortunately.
  11:12am
Kenzo:

No cell reception at the transmitter site?
  11:12am
robyn:

loving jeff and jane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am
Liz B.:

There might be cell service up there, Kenzo... Or maybe Ken could get a 4G card and a router plugged in up there.
  11:16am
Kenzo:

Exactly. Use a laptop or smartphone and get the stream with a cell signal.
  11:29am
david from ks:

tim from champaign:

Yes, Legendary Wings! From my old hometown of Kalamazoo, MI! My good buddy who's friends with the band said this whole album was written by the bass player and is a big love letter to his wife. Also, the Billy Crystal/Meg Ryan photo on the back cover of the LP is sincere. Dude really loves Billy Crystal movies.

No worries, thanks so much Kevin!
