  Wed. 12/19/12 12:35pm Close Listener:

Duane, the Maya certainly survived, and survive today! They simply left their disfunctional cities, retreating to the forests and the hills.

Thanks, D! Man, this Robbie M track is something else.
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:17pm kata:

ok, had to go toast my bagel, thanks for asking Duane: the partee was packed, delicious, drunken, dancing, fireplace, high, disorganized, fun. I didn't end up lifting any of your tracks, my head was in too many places and I admit I leaned heavily on a playlist. I've DJ'd a few parties and even tag teamed with a friend at a bar once (sans vinyl). It's not easy! After all it took to prepare for the party all day, all I wanted to do was drink ;) Overall it was a fun night though..
Wed. 12/19/12 1:19pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

And I wasn't invited ;)
Wed. 12/19/12 1:21pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

This was great, thanks for playing it again!
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:23pm kata:

ha Jan, you were all invited, if you stuck around on the playlist long enough last week to see my late-show comment ~
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:23pm Mike East:

Wed. 12/19/12 1:28pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

  Wed. 12/19/12 1:29pm Duane:

Thanx Mike! Have a festive one!
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:31pm kata:

i'm with ya on that Robyn.. What a cool band.
Wed. 12/19/12 1:32pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Yeah, it's sad indeed...
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:35pm Mike East:

I will! What's a good cocktail for christmas day? possibly involving whisky, but not necessarily
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:36pm robyn:

  Wed. 12/19/12 1:42pm Eli:

RIP Trish. I never tire of those magical Broadcast albums.
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:43pm Duane:

Yeah..Trish was such a cool person. Really mellow, down to earth..and knew how to Party :) RIP!!
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:43pm Eli:

It's been so much fun listening to the show all year, and discovering music through it. Thanks, Duane! Can't wait for next year's batch of shows.
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:43pm kata:

Mike: hot toddies ~
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:44pm drewo:

  Wed. 12/19/12 1:50pm Mike East:

  Wed. 12/19/12 1:54pm Duane:

Big fan of Mule Wine, Mike !
Wed. 12/19/12 1:57pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

isn't that mulled wine?
  Wed. 12/19/12 1:57pm Duane:

yeah mulled wine.
Wed. 12/19/12 1:57pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Though "mule wine" could be interesting if sort of unpalatable...
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:01pm Mike East:

I drank ALOT of mulled wine when I was in Europe a few Christmases back. they called it Gluhwein, it was delicious. That is also a possibility...especially since my brother in law makes his own red wine, so we won't have a shortage.
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:02pm Carmichael:

Hey Duane! Hi everyone.
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:04pm chris:

Hi, Duane, hi, Carmichael, hi, everyone. Bold radio edit, Duane.
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:04pm kata:

I made Gluwein at last year's xmas house party, after having some in Vienna a few years prior while ice skating. So good !! And really helps with ice-skating !
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:05pm steve:

classy Duane, real classy
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:06pm Duane:

He heh heh & Ho Ho Ho :)
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:07pm Caryn:

Have some non-alcoholic mulled wine (well, it's more mulled cider in this case) waiting to be imbibed. Here, mulled wine is called glögi.
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:10pm kata:

kata loves when Jackie sings about himself in the third person
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:10pm Mike East:

I used to put back quite a bit of mulled cider when I worked at a farm stand years back. The bosses always had some brewed throughout October to keep us warm.
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:12pm Jennique:

Duane, I love this Jackie Shane bit. He's preachin' it!
Wed. 12/19/12 2:15pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

This is hysterical...
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:18pm Carmichael:

I saw Albert King many years ago in SF. He was rural, funky, spittin' and cussin', and it was a great show!
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:31pm kata:

I like this wintry ambient shit ~
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:31pm still b/p:

Session musicians for Beach Boys on that last one was The Wrapping Crew, yeah...?
Wed. 12/19/12 2:33pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Ok, I'll admit something, i like a some of the tracks on Tracey Thorn's new Xmas album...
Wed. 12/19/12 2:34pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

That confession was appripros of nothing
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:35pm robyn:

@jan is that shameful? i dont know the album but love her..

Wed. 12/19/12 2:42pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

I had this Marz album... Wonder what i ever did with it...
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:43pm Mike East:

...that was a cool take on it by Marz
  Wed. 12/19/12 2:53pm kata:
