What no comments? (said ironically)
Avatar 3:16am
Bill Mac:

Hey Madi. there's a 30 minute late grace period for folks on Saturday morning. I'm not sure if Hawkwind is appropriate breakfast soundtrack music, but noone's ever had a problem with it before.
Avatar 3:18am
Andy in Berlin:

Well, I guess it's official - this is a breakfast show
Avatar 3:18am

All the more official.

The Kellogg slogan? It 's Grrrrrrrreeeeeaaaatttt!
Avatar 3:29am

As we might remember, the Beatle's Good Morning was based on the Kellogg's commercial from when John was watching a lot of tv in NY
Avatar 3:32am

More excellent trivia from the breakfast crowd

My favorite cereal was Life. It had a newspaper on back.

I personally stand by Cheerios. When I moved here, for some reason Cheerios was made here under a license to Nestle who added o's of some other grains to it and we called it Eurios.

In Mexico are they called Adios?
Avatar 3:37am

@KP No reflection on the music I hope.... too much late Friday night?

Pre-cognitive commenting, yes (from my computer downstairs)... going back upstairs now. Will enjoy the rest of the show in a lurking style.

@ KP are you using the wfmu app or just the web page ?
Avatar 4:09am
Andy in Berlin:

I can only listen on my phone, not comment. I have the WFMU app on my tablet though.
  4:14am
KP:

Now using app. To do the avatar, I need safari. The safari screen runs out of room. The new format takes up more space. Station manager ken has looked into this
  4:15am
KP:

So now on app, no av.

@KP When are you coming over?
Avatar 4:30am
Bill Mac:

@KP That's great - I consider myself lucky to have seen the 4 primary players from SF Sorrow back in '99 - at Maxwells no less... should be happening to see Taylor/May together - got some PTs coming up later in the show.

Always thought of this as The Return of the Thin White Duck
Avatar 4:35am
Bill Mac:

@Brian It might have been a B-side released during the Sorrow sessions. it's a bonus cut on the re-release. Great tune, but I guess since it didn't fit into the song cycle of the concept it was nixed from the original album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44am
Stanley:

Blimey, look at the time.
Late up this morning, bit of a boozy time, last night.
Hello Bill, looks like I've missed some good stuff.. God knows what Sex Clark Five sounded like.
Hi Jay, howya doing? Hi Brian, thought you were on the road north today?
Avatar 4:46am
Bill Mac:

Hey Stanley, the magic of archive awaits you. Glad yr hear...
  4:47am

Coincidentally just got the Mojo w/ Stones on cover. Inside back cover is story on Twink. He was in band Tomorrow w/ Steve Howe. They broke up and he joined Pretty Things in time for SF Sorrow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49am
Brian in UK:

Stanley, pay attention, next Saturday. Hope you let some food fall on that beer.
Bill, holiday/sick note now, missing next two Saturdays. Up to the Scottish borders country. Not as far north as Martyn though.
Avatar 4:50am

I didn't realize he was in Tomorrow. We have an album with him and Nick Salamon (Bevis Frond) collaborating.
  4:55am
KP:

Was just listening to Bevis Frond today. They are also on Fruits de mer.
  4:57am

I picked up (bought)a few CDs from Nick and he signed one. They are on three of the four releases we've done for fruits de mer.

@Brian - oh yes food was also consumed along with my favorite tipple, which is a naughty 7.2%. Got to blathering to my younger colleagues tales of adventure and daring-do of 'When I Was a Younger Man'. Mrs Stanley reigned me in as usual.

When Arthur Lee came over in the early 90s. He used a Liverpool band called Shack as backup. When he played a radio interview gig he used Nick Saloman as second guitar. Got it taped somewhere. God bless you Arthur.

This morning every male singer sounds like a future Marc Bolan, had he lived. Just me I suppose.
  5:12am
KP:

Modesty forbids me from mentioning how modest I am. Really though we are a local bar band. It's quite a thrill to be doing all this.
Avatar 5:13am
Bill Mac:

That last guy sure did - I just hope Marc Bolan wouldn't have to resort to covering John Mellencamp songs to feed his sex and drug habits.
  5:13am

Bill, Did you mean the Fruits de mer release is out on Cd?
Avatar 5:14am
Bill Mac:

@KP Just gotta create opportunities for yourself.

It could've come in a promo pack, but I have a CD here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am
Brian in UK:

Do not have a lot of time for Bolan after the way he treated John Peel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am
Stanley:

@Jay-God Camden Market is still the hippest place in the country. I used to buy bootleg albums there when I was a lad.

@Bill - tut, tut, by now Marc would've been long passed all that and be clean living and a health nut!

You goofed on his comb-over didn't you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am
Stanley:

Ha ha! It was 1977 I think and we hippies were just turning onto to punk/new wave but John was already a hardcore convert and didn't have time for Zappa/Beefheart/West Coast stuff we were all into at the time. I thought Zappa was a punk in his own way but that didn't work for him.
