No Strawberry Shortcake, Meghan?
Avatar 7:55am
the glowing one:

What I like about the 80s music most is the clean production, it was at its peak. In New Wave and Synthpop it was probably the most noticeable, but it's also noticeable in 80s Metal for example, even the one that's supposed to be dirty. Despite the electronic "sounds" and what was being generally implied People were still playing actual instruments, even if it were synthesizers, and you can tell every instrument cleanly apart. I like that because it died out with the loudness war escalation of the 90s.

If I want to hear noise and distortion I listen to noise music or music with distortion, but if I listen to music from the mid 90s onward I get noisy music regardless. It's a quality issue not an esthetic one.
