I remember taping Welcome to the Jungle off the radio so I could learn it on guitar. This reminds me of that.

This goes nicely with my pie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm
Mike East:

hey, I want pie. What kinda pie, Caryn? do you have any to share?
Avatar 3:24pm
Droll:

I have a circular file for off-centering perfectly fine records. Bruce Springsteen's vocals sound especially drunken with a lurch every 1.8 seconds.
rrg, I played a record just the other day, but it was the first time in months, and it was only to make a WAV from it. "Black Russian" on Motown apparently never made it to CD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm
Caryn:

@Mike: queen pie (I feel I need to explain this. "Queen jam" is a mix of blueberry and raspberry. Thus, ice cream cones, pies, tarts, etc. using the combo are here called "queen ..."). Sadly only about 3 mouthfuls left. But it is 3 days past its "best by" date, so use that fact to console yourself.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:27pm
rrg:

Indeed, yes, the only time I ever play a record is to digitize it. Actually I prefer to send them to someone else to digitize.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm
Caryn:

@rrg: well, as long as you don't click on the pic. Because that will lead to images both weirder and more disturbing than this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
Caryn:

I think to me, the most disturbing things about the filthy blood pond pic are the guy's moobs... At least I assume that's supposed to be a dude?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
Uncle Michael:

That's the best filthy blood pond I've ever seen.
Avatar 3:34pm
glenn:

what's really odd to me is that it's in singapore.
Avatar 3:34pm
Droll:

Caryn, That's the filthy part.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
rrg:

Did you bake that pie yourself, Caryn?

If not, why not?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
Caryn:

@rrg: no, because a) my oven sucks and b) I couldn't afford the ingredients. But I got it for free at work, which is sweet.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:38pm
rrg:

Blueberries and raspberries and lard come at a premium price there in the dark and cold north, I guess.
  3:38pm
Laura L:

This song is reminding me of Happy Flowers somehow.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
rrg:

623 + 4 = 627, Laura.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
Caryn:

@rrg: well, right now they're at their cheapest. Been a bad year for blueberries, though. But excellent for raspberries. But with my 20 cent daily food budget, even the cheap berries are not an option.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
Irwin:

@LL: It does have a Buoyant Floral feel.
  3:42pm
Laura L:

You know, I mean as in "I said, I want to watch cartoons!" Those Happy Flowers.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Mike East:

Yeah, Jersey Blueberries are in season. got some with me today. A bit sour, but still delicious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Caryn:

Now that my exploration of the picture link has lead to further links to a Finnish sculpture park I know and to a South Korean toilet theme park... I think my quota for weird is almost filled for the day.

@glenn: there's been a lot of sun, which has been good for most berries and other crops, but the associated lack of rain has been disastrous for forest berries over here.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:51pm
rrg:

Weaker tea? No, it wouldn't be enjoyable. I make a very British-style brew, usually a single-estate Assam, strong, with both milk and sugar.
  3:52pm

Is it me, or does that filthy blood pond person look like Ronald Reagan and where he may have ended up?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:53pm

Yeah, the NJ blueberries are a little tart right now. If you know what I mean.

Too bad that Filthy Blood Park isn't in Thailand, but perhaps I'll connect flights in S'pore so I can stop by that park. And their Zoo at Night Tour, that's supposed to be good too.

Nice finish. Haven't heard this in a long time.

glenn:

my advice re: grilling corn

peel the husk back, remove ALL the silk. replace husk. in other words, you're grilling it with the husk in place. some people soak it, i don't.
