@Hamburger - Salutations, dude! Interesting track of the day. If you know your XTC you'd realize all the lines were lifted from various XTC tunes. I thought it warranted a listen to by the panel...
Avatar 3:21am

Thanks for the back ground info Mr Mac - Can't say I've taken time to listen to XTC - but will add to the list

Fran:

Morning Bill
What a good show - any day starting with early Caetano Veloso works for me - have you heard his Transa record which has some great stuff too but is often overlooked? Saw Pere Ubu in Manchester a short while ago - great and supported by David Baker ex of Mercury Rev's Variety Lights who were great and have a good lp out. XTC - looking forward to the Nonsuch reissue - have you played any of Mr Partridge and Mr Blegvad's new duo gem Gonwards yet? Now to toast and tea......
Avatar 4:23am
Jay/London:

Yes Stanley dancing around the kitchen now
Avatar 4:24am
Bill Mac:

@Stanley - There was a time when it seemed like everyone was aware of a Violent Femmes tune. They were kind of a weird little combo.
Avatar 4:27am
Jay/London:

love the name of this band :)
Avatar 4:29am
Bill Mac:

Hi Fran, yeah seeing David is like reaquainting yourself with an uncle with a grumpy sense of humor. He was dancing in his chair the entire show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29am
Stanley:

Not me, missed that one. Is the rest of their stuff as good?
Avatar 4:32am
Bill Mac:

Tell you the truth I can't say. Blister in the Sun was pretty huge though.
Avatar 4:34am
Jay/London:

but many bands covered it Bill
  4:36am
Fran:

I seriously think David Thomas could do a good stand up comedy routine particularly if he went under his old Crocus Behemoth name!!! If memory serves at Manchester he was actually cracking jokes between songs in the stand up style and he had a frisky dance moment or two as well! Strange and wonderful...and Hi KP if you are still there?
Avatar 4:36am
Jay/London:

and it was on the soundtrack of grosse point blank bill which helped it's sales
  4:39am
Fran:

Pere Ubu - Apparently there are Musicians Union issues in the US with his band - he isn't happy!!
Avatar 4:45am
Bill Mac:

He almost didn't come here this time around.
Avatar 5:16am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21am

Hi Jelly. Bit of hiatus on the ol' board. Must be the music is grabbing our attention. Gotta say though I don't recognise any of these bands in the current set. And I like it even more for that!
Avatar 5:21am
Jelly Jim:

lets hope the vacum salesman doesnt try to make a sucker out of me
Avatar 5:23am
Bill Mac:

I was beginning to wonder if I chased everyone away.... cos that would suck... not to belabor the point.... is this thing on?
