Naturally, politics drives this mandate: the conservative states are refusing to open their own markets, which drives up the cost for their citizens and, in some cases, results in denial of coverage.

	6:52pm sara: Well I think about a year later people who haven't signed up if they aren't exempt from being too poor, will have to pay a $95 dollar penalty per year. And btw if so many people have no insurance and go to the emergency room all the time, it already makes everyones' expenses go up when the hospitals can't collect those bills.

Some care taking or leadership that is. I guess they are just trying to keep everything they do at the same crappy level.
