Sheila, Just want you to know I moved here in June last year to middle of nowhere and WFMU is the only decent station I get reception to in my kitchen, which is how I discovered your show. Such amazing good fortune! Now I sit in the parlor and listen to you. Best part of my week. Live long and prosper! |
Fri. 3/11/16 3:42pm
modchick65:
Really, really love this Amason song.

![]() |
![]() Killing it, Sheila! |
![]() |
Fri. 3/11/16 3:57pm
Joe B:
Also folks, keep in mind that WFMU's $1.2 million goal has not gone up in YEARS, but operating costs rise each year. So it is a modest goal that we MUST achieve! |
![]() |
Fri. 3/11/16 3:57pm
statoj:
Doonebury cartoon skewered Wounded Warrior as a fraud this week. Much better to support WFMU. No rapelling required. |
🎃
Fri. 3/11/16 3:57pm
Listener Robert:
You use washable towels there? Not paper? Huh, maybe you should've taken the bubble bath I offered yrs. ago. Are we talking about washrags for the kitchen?
![]() |
![]() God, this sounds great! |
🎃
Fri. 3/11/16 4:01pm
Listener Robert:
Well, Joe B., it's been $1.2 M for just a FEW yrs. in my recollection. But Stn. Mgr. Fred Keenan did say financial conditions this yr. are the worst ever. Part of it is the absence of rent revenue from what's now Monty Hall. How's this idea: hire out Monty Hall to dancercise classes. Seems it'd be great for that on the evenings you don't have use for it. And I'm sure dancercise makes $ !
![]() |
![]() God, this sounds great! |
![]() |
![]() Dammit, our plan didn't work! |
![]() |
![]() @Sheila, wondering about Tick Tock… |

Fri. 3/11/16 4:03pm
Joe B:

![]() |
![]() Oh wow, so pleased this is on the premium. Our car's going to be leaving the ground when we blast this out around Sanderstead! ;-) |

Fri. 3/11/16 4:05pm
Listener Robert:
I had some other use for Auricle's annual fin. statement recently: Seeing what costs were, assuming they were typical, for a program streaming operation. I wanted to add some facts to the speculation at BellGab.com on whether Dark Matter Digital Network could pay for itself.
![]() |
![]() gimme that FUZZ |
Fri. 3/11/16 4:08pm
modchick65:
Wow... that was the Pointer Sisters. Cool.
![]() |
![]() ![]() If this is your usual time to head out of the office for the 4 pm coffee ahead of the commute, why not send a bit of that cash Sheila's way instead? She's your audio caffeine every Friday! |
🎃
Fri. 3/11/16 4:10pm
Listener Robert:
In cx w my above remarks, that's one of the great things about WFMU -- not only a great operation in its own right, but also showing the way for others.
![]() |
![]() I can't wait to get my hands on this premium. Such amazing stuff! This is why I canceled cable so I could give that money to WFMU. |
Fri. 3/11/16 4:13pm
P-90:
1966 and 1967 were close, very close. But 1968 was the peak.
![]() |
![]() 2016! |
![]() |
![]() ![]() Oh, agreed—FMU has such a better rate of satisfaction than even basic cable! |

![]() |
![]() Very happy to see the evolution to 2001's Moonwatcher on the home page. Does that make the listeners the Monolith? Apparitions tuning in from another dimension. |
