Hughie Considine:

Good morning. Loving your show as usual. I’m hoping the Reggae Schoolroom brain trust can help me identify a song I’ve loved since I heard it in 1986, after a friend brought back a bunch of 45s from Jamaica. There was “Girlie Girlie” by Sophia George and “One Dance Won’t Do” by Audrey Hall -- the song I’m looking to ID fit right into that vibe, although it was sung by a man. I’ve looked around online but have had no luck. Anyway, it would seem to be called “Calling Your Name in My Sleep”

Keep calling your name in my sleep (4x)

“Can’t you see right from the start/I’ve been loving you, wanting you, loving you//
Will you show me the way to your door/I keep loving you more and more
Listen baby, keep calling you in my sleep
Tryin’ to reach you baby
Keep calling you in my sleep every night, now baby
Keep calling you in my dreams…”
