rw i'm glad someone here could answer that! i doubt i'm far beyond you if at all in my knowledge of sun ra. there's an album i've especially liked but i don't remember the name of it. - not sure it's a "starter album" anyway"
i was going to suggest asking Jeff Golick, or Doug Shulkind.
