Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, AND Buddy Rich each played my junior high school back in ‘69 or ‘70. And I taped them on a Sears Silvertone reel-to-reel, a perk from being on stage crew. I think they’re around somewhere but probably need to be baked at some point, if it’s not too late.
Also, Doc Pomus used to come to shows at the BLT, and he was very pleasant to us staff members. I personally wheeled him in on several occasions...
