Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:54pm JG:

Cool interview. What comes across is what down to earth regular guys Dolls are. And despite the fact that they really created a new genre of music. I talk w David Jo once in a while in the neighborhood, just to say hi. Same thing. just a regular down to earth guy
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Candy-O'67:

*John L, I meant ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Woo:

On April 6, 1974 the Dolls opened for Sly & The Family Stone at the Providence Civic Center. That must have been something. Don't know if that was a whole big tour. Don't know if Sly showed up.
  12:54pm Carl G:

I never saw the original dolls. but the first David Johanson band with the guys from Staten Island, rocked as hard as any band I have ever seen. the second incarnation of the dolls did not have the same energy
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Candy-O'67:

JG, love to hear they are down to earth. My kind of people!

i don't think this will be the last time that i will tell the story of the time I borrowed fake ID to get in to a Dolls show at Max's (summer 1973, I was 15) and as they filed in toward the stage, walking past me, I reached out and touched them all, cuz I knew they were Magic. I saw them that same summer open for Mott the Hoople at the Felt Forum. Everyone was there...

his ouvre IS a cannon!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:36pm Krys O.:

I will never forget hearing a woman on the bus back in the 90s tell everyone that she was married to Freddy Cannon. It was such an odd choice for her delusion that I secretly admired her for it.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:37pm JG:

@ Mike east, I thought because Spector had produced 4 seasons, but he did not
  1:40pm Kpx:

@Mike East: that makes two of us. @ Joe B: good show Joe, gonna go now. Ears still on.

@Joe: Freddy's "wife" was popping her dentures in and out when she spoke about him. I feel that was the punchline of the joke.
