that's how and when i ended up in nj to get a trade.
asheville was very depressed at the time. empty storefronts everywhere.
i liked my time there though. good reggae community.

coincidentally just talking about my machine shop job yesterday. the place was stocked with employees with various parts missing or malfunctioning. i wanted to quit after nearly being 1/2 blinded by hot metal and my "guidance councilor" refused to tell me how long i had to stay to meet my credit requirement for graduation. so i quit.
turns out i only had 3 more weeks.
