I've noticed Pea Protein in fake meats - for anyone concerned about Soy being like Estrogen & that stuff... Fermented foods are Super of course. Less processing generally more like what we Evolved to eat. Isoalted soy protein not the best...

Got so poor in 2020 Charity fed me a lot. Round Thanksgiving I got so starving - premade carnivore meals were offered & I thot OK - it's already dead... just this once. I got the instant rush off the meat. Meat is very nutritious - not just complete protein packed into small volume - but iron & zinc & B-vitamins & all this. Tofu is about the same protein by volume - but not the rest of that. (It has other things.)
...Then I very started to get that 'clogged up' feeling meat has... It's the fatty cholesterol & animal poisons - not what meat doesn't have - but what it does have you want to avoid... Growth hormones & antibiotics & indigestible fats... All aside from Cruelty - & I just agree w/ the Buddhists that Less Suffering is the goal... & the Environmental impact of raising animals is vast...

NOW i keep reading how they harbor a lot of mold, bacteria, etc. -- ICK!
ICK to eating insects too! even before i was veg, thought that was pretty gross -- cricket flour is apparently pretty popular -- BARF! (and, my parents always taught me that crickets are beneficial insects, that it was cool if they were hanging out in the basement b/c they preyed on pests like termites)

and yes, seitan is cool too (although some cannot eat that b/c of wheat sensitivity?)
Rastafarian food is pretty much vegan too -- i totally suck at cooking, but The Rasta Cookbook is my favorite cookbook :)

My dad was 4F and when he went in to fail his physical, he gave his stash of pot to his friend Billie Holiday. When he came back with the good news, it had all been sold or smoked. But all was forgiven since he owed his ongoing survival to a mysterious spot on his lung that they couldn't say *wasn't* tuberculosis (it wasn't).

Yes, David, the Quease's triumphant return to obscurity!
("Triumphant Return to Obscurity" the first single, of course.)
Ken: that roadhouse crowd was *not* ready for Pulp's "Common People," which I assumed would unite us in class consciousness. Feeling the need to get the crowd back on my side, I then went with classic rock, which everyone loves! Except apparently for Rush because after "Limelight" I got a "welcome to America!" comment as I went back to sit down. On Kate's hissed advice, I went with "Devil Went Down to Georgia" next and went out on top!

re: The Sunshine Band
The band comes off monster vocal hits with KC at the helm, and then the first LP after is an all-instrumental LP with no KC vocals. Still cool stuff, but I'm surprised the marketing department didn't jump in at that point!
