Ira: Richard Deacon just set off a childhood memory. As a kid I was hysterical with laughter at an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show. Buddy quit, wants his job back and they hire someone to annoy Mel enough to hire him back. I suddenly remember watching it with my entire family, the furniture, including the couch I was sitting on. the shape of the room...Odd how the memory can be set off.
