Don't know if this song "Mairzy..." made it on Ira or Uncle Michael 's premium but it is a song i learned from either a cartoon or a kid show like the little rascals.

I must admit I only just browsed your playlists, Kitschy Mama. I certainly have to listen to your shows and add you in the lists in the links underneat (which I also forgot to paste today, I notice...) just a moment..

Kitschy Mama:

No worries Jan. I do love "rare oldies" from the 50's & 60's, but the music you play is more my speed.

Ow... I think you should contact Mr Martinibomb. But maybe we can discuss that here as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am
WR:

Since Black And White are from Rotterdam I would think that you would know about Olee Dolee Doff. But being a person from Texas who has never successfully ridden a horse, I know we can't go around making assumptions.

Funny song, this nudist present song.

I use a portable Zoom wav-recorder, that I connect to the rec out of an old-fashioned Akai tuner amplifier, to which I connected my record player.

Thanks Jan!

Also I found this one the same site "In Norwegian, Ole, Dole and Doffen are the names of Donald Duck's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie."

In Dutch these are "Kwik, Kwek and Kwak" pronun: Quick, Quack and Quaak

Love this Melody Sisters track!

WR:

MHLee, there are two general approaches, one like Jan's setup, analog output to digital recorder that has analog input. Or getting the analog record output into a computer. this can be done by an analog to digital interface of which there are several choices with varied options and quality or most simply by using a turntable with a USB output that can connect to your computer.

which way you go would depend on what you already own and how many discs you will be doing.

there should be some web blogs that better review the choices.

Could you translate 'Mir geht über das Herz' for us?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am
chresti:

She threw in a rolled "r" for good measure.
Avatar 11:49am
zivilars:

wow ... that's quite difficult for me ... something like "my heart brims over"? does this make sense?
Avatar 11:50am
zivilars:

joy/love flowing through your heart
Avatar 11:50am
zivilars:

don't really find the exact expression in English - sorry :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am
Jan Turkenburg:

ok, so I guess it's Yiddish rather than German?
Avatar 11:51am
zivilars:

doesn't help that this expression really is so old that it isn't really used anymore
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am
Jan Turkenburg:

ok
Avatar 11:52am
zivilars:

the expression is German - doesn't "my heart brims over" (with love/joy/inspiration) make sense?
Avatar 11:53am
zivilars:

it's so full of it that it is overflowing - at least that's how I understand the expression, might be wrong
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am
chresti:

I think it does, ziv.
