There was one in there that had a closer semblance to the theme from one of the early doctor series. it was either Dr Kildare, or Ben Casey, or that one with Chad Everett in it. Can't exactly remember which one it was.

Great, great start to my Sunday morning, Bob. Thanks for the correction on the Laura Nyro title from last Saturday, and for playing "Time and Love" today -- not "Time and Place," as you announced it. (As Sondheim says, "Careful what you say -- children will listen.") Now you simply must play *another* Nyro song next week. I'm trying to think of one with "place" in the title and coming up empty....

re LA drummers, yes Bob, Earl was the man! he gave Hal his start in the studio scene there. in the 50s/early 60s Jesse Sailes played on lots of tracks ("Monster Mash," "Let's Dance"). there are so many others, a few that come to mind: John Guerin ("Hawaii 5-0)," Richie Frost (Rick Nelson), Frank Capp (Sonny & Cher, etc), Frank Devito ("Surfin' USA"), Russ Kunkel, etc

i got to see max roach double quartet live at the blue note with the uptown quartet string ensemble, his daughter... something in the air maybe, ive been playing mccoy tyners inner voices this past week. - love this idea as a recurring theme.

@Bob, maybe I’ll do something down the line re LA drummers, but The Wrecking Crew doc is a good resource. Interestingly, Hal played on many early 60s Spector sessions then they had a falling out. Earl played on “Lovin’ Feeling” & I think most 60s PS dates moving forward from that point
