	8:02pm Spinning Giant: I saw New Order in the late 80s at an arena show outdoors and it was one of the most amazing live performances I've ever witnessed - I didn't know a ton about them really then, I only had the Substance 2-LP "Best Of" - they were so freaking tight live, and very un-digital (no tape loops or synths or anything) - which was a revelation to me - they are excellent musicians - and all business - there was no between song patter - they didn't even say Hello or Goodnight - and no encore - just came out and played 2+ straight hours of one killer tune after another on a very simple stage setup - yet it was totally transfixing

	8:28pm Julie: I know it was so strange! but it's one of my favorite things, much more interesting to me than eating in a restaurant

	8:30pm HyperDose: Last movie I saw in a theater was I think 2008 when my ex and I walked out of Cloverfield. Luckily the sequel was better. John Goodman makes everything better.
	8:31pm Julie: Cloverfield and Cloverfield Lane are VERY different movies. I liked them both.
	8:31pm Fox: My most excited thing about being vaccinated was getting to ride the subway. And drawing people.
	8:31pm Julie: I know I'm a dying breed, someone who loves seeing movies in a theater.

	8:35pm Julie: @Fox was it pretty crowded?
	8:38pm HyperDose: I don't mind seeing movies in a theater, it can be quite fun if the acoustics are done right. Just not keen on going alone. With streaming services you always get the best seat in the house, and no one looks at you like a weirdo for being by yourself! :D
	8:39pm Julie: It was hard to start doing it but I got used to it. No squabbling about what movie or someone being late. But I did do my first one back with somebody.
	8:40pm Fox: Julie: It was frustratingly empty, actually. I wanted to draw people! But it was on the weekend, too.
	8:42pm Fox: I wanted to go to the Loew's for their double feature of The Maltese Falcon (35mm!!) and Chinatown, but it was sold out. They capped the audience at 150!
	8:42pm HyperDose: @Fox How do you draw people without them noticing? Are you lightning fast or just a super sneak? 👀
	8:43pm Julie: when the weather gets nice again a park might be better for that
	8:44pm Fox: I am probably pretty obvious. It was easier on the old trains with the orange seats, where everyone was facing in different directions. I hate the new bench seats. Everyone is just seated across from each other!
	8:44pm Fox: But I don't want to freak people out, so lately, I've been drawing people's feet and legs. I'm awful at shoes, so it's good practice.
	8:45pm Fox: People in parks are too far away and move around too much.
	8:45pm Julie: Oh yeah good point.
	8:47pm Julie: and here we are...back in the 80s again
	8:48pm HyperDose: The only real art I ever did was "paint" Bedroom in Arles on a piece of cardboard with watercolor. It was a disaster, yet my family insists on keeping it. Can't wait to inherit it just to throw it out!
	8:49pm Julie: I'm so jealous of people who can do visual art. I can't draw to save my life. My father can, and his father did. I got the singing gene not the drawing one.
	8:52pm HyperDose: @Julie Same here! You have the image in your head, but you just can't translate it to your hands. Tried pencil sketching for years and never got any better. At least I found my calling with audio.
	8:53pm Julie: trying to learn to use zbrush but I'm just useless at changing something into something else
	8:55pm HyperDose: Digital art is weird to me, all those layers. I'd be hitting Ctrl+Z undoing each line drawn with these shaky old hands.
	8:56pm Fox: Whee! I can make my music loud with impunity, as there's a wedding being held in the parking lot of the building across the street, and it's BLARING.

	9:44pm Julie: I saw DCD and I like them better at home. Some bands are just more turn the lights off and listen for me. I should've skipped Mazzy Star at Terminal 5.

	9:46pm HyperDose: Oh no, Mazzy was a let down? :( As much as I don't care for the city, the shows are incredible. Irving Plaza feels like home.
	9:47pm Julie: The venue was part of the problem. Giant packed room, girl in the dark you can barely see.
	9:47pm Fox: Julie: Yeah, and some bands I'd never listen to at home are AMAZING shows to see live.

	9:48pm HyperDose: Yeah I hate that. Only big show I ever saw was Weird Al (who absolutely killed it). But PNC Bank is seated so doesn't even really count. Glassjaw at Webster Hall was an incredible night.

	8:02pm Spinning Giant: I saw New Order in the late 80s at an arena show outdoors and it was one of the most amazing live performances I've ever witnessed - I didn't know a ton about them really then, I only had the Substance 2-LP "Best Of" - they were so freaking tight live, and very un-digital (no tape loops or synths or anything) - which was a revelation to me - they are excellent musicians - and all business - there was no between song patter - they didn't even say Hello or Goodnight - and no encore - just came out and played 2+ straight hours of one killer tune after another on a very simple stage setup - yet it was totally transfixing

	8:38pm HyperDose: I don't mind seeing movies in a theater, it can be quite fun if the acoustics are done right. Just not keen on going alone. With streaming services you always get the best seat in the house, and no one looks at you like a weirdo for being by yourself! :D
	8:39pm Julie: It was hard to start doing it but I got used to it. No squabbling about what movie or someone being late. But I did do my first one back with somebody.
	8:40pm Fox: Julie: It was frustratingly empty, actually. I wanted to draw people! But it was on the weekend, too.
	8:42pm Fox: I wanted to go to the Loew's for their double feature of The Maltese Falcon (35mm!!) and Chinatown, but it was sold out. They capped the audience at 150!

	8:44pm Fox: I am probably pretty obvious. It was easier on the old trains with the orange seats, where everyone was facing in different directions. I hate the new bench seats. Everyone is just seated across from each other!

	8:48pm HyperDose: The only real art I ever did was "paint" Bedroom in Arles on a piece of cardboard with watercolor. It was a disaster, yet my family insists on keeping it. Can't wait to inherit it just to throw it out!
