A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

That is an amazing book about the future, survival, strong women ...
My fav is still Kindred even though I normally do not go
for time travel books ... the deep subtext of Kindred ( I presented
in workshops) is the nature/question of bi-racial relationships in
amerika.. I do not have an answer, just the questions....
Thanks Trouble and all !!!!
Must go to the bank and the market ... hopefully back for more???

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
This, & the challenge for the Left is different in as much as being 'Liberal' by definition means tolerating wider views - & it's harder to unite us despite the clear & growing Majority the Democratic Party represents. The Democratic Party is slow to adjust the Populist revolution - whereas the Republican Party being in the Minority shot the dice w/ Drumpf...
Optimism & Pessimism I reckon have to be measured to on one hand my expectations of what is likely, based on the System - & on otoh to what is really required to Progress based on conditions... For the Former - Biden seems to be doing well for Domestic policies & frighten us in Foreign policy (has been observed Biden is Centrist - *within* the range represented by the Democratic Party...) - for the Latter, I feel we are (for instance) out of time for beginning efforts towards Sustainability - & for Democracy in the USA (for instance), we are *right now* @ the exact knife edge of - all of the above...

It is rare and wonderful, and the proof of your talent is that you elevate tunes beyond their normal selves by providing them with the perfect context.
