Приятно видеть тебя здесь, Филипп. Надеюсь, что смогу посетить в твоем прекрасном городе, когда-нибудь
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm Ike:

Vegans can’t be detected by sight, only heard (when they talk constantly about being vegan, LOL). (No offense, I respect anyone with the fortitude and willpower to give up cheese. That’s impressive!)
Avatar 9:45pm Philipp:

>when they talk constantly about being vegan, LOL

– ahhahaha, *rolf* : D

Partly its true .. : /
Avatar 9:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Wull I'm not in some cultural epicenter ...but I'd say I hear - & read - a whole lot more *about* vegans than I hear *from* vegans...
Avatar 9:47pm Philipp:

veganism is widespread in the United States probably stronger than in Russia, I decided to take the opportunity and ask the residents(citizens) wfmu land : )
Avatar 9:51pm Philipp:

I really liked movie :"nomadland", it's great that in America you can easily live and travel in a van!
Avatar 9:52pm Philipp:

the climate allows, excellent roads, cheap petrol, inexpensive cars ..
  9:53pm roolin:

Such beautiful (as well as topical) stuff, as always! Thanks, Jesse
Avatar 9:54pm Philipp:

@Headcleaner: u are welcome!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm chresti:

I can't stop eating cheese.
  9:59pm headcleaner:

@philipp - серьезно, would love to, some year during White Nights perhaps? Ah, when travel is allowed again...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm chresti:

The vegans I've seen/met are usually very slender in stature.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03pm mariano:

I hear ya, chresti. I just started paying attention to the cheese section of my grocery.
  10:03pm headcleaner:

@chresti - I know I probably "could" stop eating yogurt, but it does seem hard. If I go a few days without, something just seems "off". Kicking alcohol was easy by comparison
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm chresti:

Hi mariano, it seems to be getting better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm chresti:

Hi headcleaner, I haven't tried vegan yogurt yet, that's another food that's a staple for me.
Swag For Life Member 10:09pm ze boocherie:

Initially recognized this as an NRBQ song and was like, oh, something else from the new Joey tribute album!
Swag For Life Member 10:09pm ze boocherie:

Do we have tribute albums to tribute albums yet?
Avatar 10:13pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Huh ! ...Well no doubt someone has seen a tribute album & thot it a good idea to do another - so obliquely anyhow...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm chresti:

Ha ze boocherie!
  10:16pm Joeybug69:

How now, fellow frow?

I have been vegetarian since around ‘93. Vegan for about the first 16 years then gave in to occasional cheese. The analogues are much better now, so I really don’t have an excuse except for two words: piz za.

The reason we tell everyone—or that I used to—was because the meaning was unclear back then. So asking a waitress if the minestrone is vegetarian and getting the answer after she asked the chef: “Yes, purely vegetarian: made with chicken stock but no chicken in it at all!” It used to require a lot of effort trying to explain things. Even family members: “We made this special for you, no animal products at all.” But there’s mayonnaise...

Explaining the concept in detail was usually the result of trying to educate people about what it meant, not to infer any sense of superiority. Nowadays no further details are necessary.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm melinda:

  10:25pm headcleaner:

When I roll over, and turn up the volume (my radio is always on, of course), and hear Clay's voice... I almost *have* to wake up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm Franco Twinkie:

Chresti and I saw Lambchop at the Troubadour opening for Calexico. Or maybe it was the other way around. Regardless, I think I counted fourteen people on the stage. They make a big epic sound live.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02pm jj.:

ah, the full expanded lineup, with paul niehaus doing double duty on pedal steel with both bands. their live iteration has shrunken a little since then, but still epic.
  11:18pm garlic lover:

Tuluum shimmering, so rad

Like Fripp & Eno with full Asian elements - remarkable. & I dunno if it's the pandemic (probly only part of it) - but people definitely seem to be okay with long pieces again all the way...
