Thanks Myron. Yeah, last night was a heartbreaker, but I still feel good about what they've been able to accomplish the last 3 years. Complete turnaround for this organization. Seemingly they're one player away from taking the next step.

Bs fan so I didn't need to see the Isles win although I wouldn't have minded. I do think the Lightning is likelier to squash the habs like bugs. Which, as a Bruins fan, is the important thing. I don't care who wins so long as the Habs lose. 28 more years, bitches.

Squints, I get that, but for some reason the Habs don't bother me as much as those other teams. Maybe it's because short of 1993, they never stood in the Isles way in my time watching hockey. I was too young to remember when they were beating the Isles in the late 70s.

I inherited the painful misery of Blue-and-White-Disease (Leafs fandom) from my father but I am totally pulling for the Habs. They absolutely have what it takes this year. Fearlessness & Faith (in themselves) combined with Nothing To Lose (they have already exceeded everyone's expectations) - a dangerous combination...It won't be easy against the formidable Bolts though... Price is playing perhaps his best hockey ever...gonna be a fun series! :)

Interesting to hear Michael refer to An American Family casually and correctly as a “reality show”, a term that didn’t come into use until decades after An American Family was broadcast.

In "An American Family", was Lance the one who sang "Brown Sugar"? Or the one who sang the Kinks' "She's Bought A Hat Like Princess Marina" and "When I Turn Off the Living Room Light" while another Loud accompanied on piano?

In late 1976 we went to CBGB to see John Cale, and Mumps, whom we had never heard of, were opening. And we, all of 15 years old, knew enough to know, Holy Crap, the lead singer is that Lance Loud guy. We were totally blown away of course, and immediately stole the chords to "Teach Me."

Funny movie suggestion: Real Life is a 1979 American comedy film starring Albert Brooks (in his directorial debut), who also co-authored the screenplay. It is a spoof of the 1973 reality television program An American Family and portrays a documentary filmmaker named Albert Brooks who attempts to live with and film a dysfunctional family for one full year.

David S.: We'll be waiting a long time (for Idle's RWT). I interviewed him years ago (around 2000) & asked about it & he was vague, sounded like he was a bit embarrassed about the production values and/or the way it looked it was made pretty cheap, the year after Python ended). I also read that it was made during a bad time in his life (a divorce, maybe?) & he doesn't want to be reminded of it. There are clips online, of course, including the famous George Harrison appearance, where he sings "The Pirate Song" (written by him & Idle). As far as I know, it's the only Python solo show/movie you can't get on DVD/video.
