I achieve epic frustration levels when I search for impossible things like trying to look for obscure animation that I saw on TV around 1970. It was a show that animated myths like Icarus and there was one for a Centaur. Therein lies madness.

I used to tape things off the radio, going back to when I was very young. One perk of being a music geek, avid radio listener and later a radio DJ is that my many decades long list of mystery songs is slowly getting shorter and shorter.

I recognized one of the voices in Kikaider as Peter Fernandez, who also voiced the Western dubbed Speed Racer and countless Japanese monster movies and cartoons.

Hello, coelacanthβˆ…!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm
Rich in Washington:

I watched a short doc on Fernandez. He and his costar on Speed Racer had to sort of improvise the dialog to fit the mouth movements of their animated characters, which is also one of the reasons why they talked so fast - had to cram so many English words into each spoken line, They felt like they should've gotten writing credits, but for them, it was a voiceover gig.

Thanks for the comments about Peter Fernandez. Never looked him up before. He also did the voice over for Alakazam the Great which I saw in theater at the time if it's initial release. Despite Alakazam story be somewhat fragmented due to being heavily edited, young me liked it more than Bambi which was re-released to theaters a year or so before.

Rich, I could explain by using a bunch of other Aussie vernacular & bamboozle you further. It's a Billy, usually an empty tin can with a Fence Wire handle, like a small bucket. Used for boiling water on a campfire. To make tea traditionaly, Billy Tea.
