Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm Scott67:

G'day Julie & Nighties!
I bet Knave is really loving his day off, now we are in Lockdown.
Avatar 7:03pm HyperDose:

Ah the cools kids table, never thought I'd get here!
  7:03pm Nick:

Hi Julie.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Julie:

sorry my signal was only coming out in mono so I started again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Scott67:

Cool Julie!πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Julie:

heya Scott, HD & Nick. Yeah, Scott, NO FUN
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:05pm Yvang:

Big skies twice is even better!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:05pm Julie:

hiya Yvang!
Avatar 7:06pm HyperDose:

Hippie flower power!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Julie:

not a lot of hippies tonight.. maybe a couple
  7:11pm Nick:

Speaking of Hippies, I never did get around to looking at beads for doorway options. There's plenty of archways at the place I bought that have no beads nor doors.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Julie:

I got some of mine out of storage to hang at the house but the most obvious place is the kitchen doorway and they'll probably get covered in stuff there so close to the stove
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Julie:

they aren't hard to find though!
  7:13pm Nick:

Mine has one of those half-open kitchen shapes to it with doorways on either side and then the big bar style countertop and open upper half
  7:16pm Nick:

I can't really bring myself to look at renovations because there'd be no value added. It's easier to just think of it as a temporary home and plan to sell/rent it some day. But beads wouldn't require new drywall or frames or alu-mini-um
  7:19pm Nick:

But i would want change the kitchen, change the big open living room into 3 more walls, brick one of the hallways, and put in a wood window in one of the window arches.
  7:23pm Nick:

And maybe...some sort of tinted bezels for some of the recessed lamps in the ceiling. Isn't the place you got sort of a fixer upper? Or did you not get that one? You looked at a few right?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Julie:

Yes and the fixing up is expensive and taking forever. But hopefully it will add value!
  7:27pm ?:

Hey Julie, great to hear you live tonight--a special treat! Love the sounds @) Thanks!
  7:27pm Marie:

I am ? @)
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Julie:

thanks, Marie!
  7:28pm Nick:

Yeah, fixing broken things adds value.... it's tearing out things that are okay and replacing them ones that are nicer that costs more than its worth.
Avatar 🦇 7:28pm Sylvia:

Hello Julie and listeners! almost time to go to bed for me, I’ll catch up later, have fun!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:28pm Julie:

very late for you, Sylvia! See you in the archive β™₯
  7:29pm Nick:

nite sylvia
  7:29pm Marie:

Those beads look cool. There are also some really neat Japanese heavy curtains/tapestries that are around. I just saw some for the first time not too long ago.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:29pm Julie:

I had lots of surprises, like I yanked out the old ugly carpets and found rotted wood. So new floors it was then!
  7:30pm Marie:

Ouch. I moved into a new place and the toilet stopped being able to flush "solids" the first night @o
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm Doug in JC:

Good evening everyone. I was just thinking about restarting some of my stalled renovation projects around the house
Avatar 🦇 7:31pm Sylvia:

I’ve been doing lots of fixing and redecorating in my house since lockdown 1! good way to get your mind and body busy, but yeah, costly
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Julie:

oh boy! Fun fun!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Julie:

hiya Doug in JC!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Julie:

randall is warming up
Avatar 7:34pm The Knave:

Hey thanks for filling in for me Julie!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm Scott67:

Cannibal has taken over the show!!πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™πŸ¦πŸ¦
  7:35pm Nick:

Yeah. I just can't commit to spending money on it, when i know it won't add value. But it is really easy to describe the vision of how I'd want it to look.
Avatar 7:35pm The Knave:

I was to be performing a wedding :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm Scott67:

G'day Knave my Lockdown mate!
Sorry it's ruined ya day off!
Avatar 7:36pm The Knave:

We are in lock down number 5 ... government has lagged waaayyy behind on vaxx ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm Doug in JC:

What kind of birds are those?

Hey Knave & Scott!
Avatar 7:36pm The Knave:

Hi Scott67! Sending you smoke signals...
  7:38pm Marie:

I'm taking a step back--am vaccinated but know I can catch the Delta pretty easily and might not have any symptoms but I don't want to spread it to anyone and I had the non-Delta in April 2019 and my sense of smell is still not right. To my mind, we don't know how the Delta might affect us. The birds sound so beautiful. So to hear your about your disappointment, Knave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm Doug in JC:

This sounds like a Trouble mic break :)
  7:38pm Marie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Scott67:

G'day Doug.πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm Scott67:

Back atcha Knave!
  7:40pm Nick:

Hmnn; actually. If we have another lockdown, maybe I can sell most of the toys and games I got for the last lockdown and get some money back. Goodbye weight set, goodbye full size arcade cabinet, goodbye nintendo, goodbye guitars.
Avatar 7:41pm The Knave:

Thanks Marie..
Cheers for the music Julie!
Avatar 7:41pm The Knave:

Sunday morning / lunch Wedding!!
  7:42pm Nick:

Oh; that's the same knave whose time this would have been? Oh ho!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:43pm Julie:

ahhh I see. So did they postpone or just have it private?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Julie:

goodbye guitars? Nooo never goodbye guitars
  7:46pm Nick:

But I don't use them, and that whole skull fracture and hematomas thing in ukraine didn't do any good for my motor skills. Almost like a stroke in some ways.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 7:47pm Julie:

oh man
  7:50pm Nick:

Yeah, got it to try out for the lockdown. But even basic chords and fingering not so easy. Would probably be much worse if I'd learned before but as a beginner it's a lot easier to quit.
Switching it to the other side, and trying to just strum with the weak side might work; but so does just not using it.
  7:52pm Nick:

Besides, it's just a little butterscotch coloured electric guitar, korean made swampkaster from the brand of some guy who reportedly ripped off the lawrence family in an infamous series of events. And a second spare guitar of Walmart quality. So no point keeping them around.
  8:00pm Nick:

Woah. Apparently they're worth more than what I paid.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Julie:

well if you can GET that for them
  8:01pm Nick:

Yeah. Just looking at ebay sold items prices. Maybe everyone who wants one already has.
  8:03pm Nick:

Looks like one is for sale now too, from a heavyset guy up in hudson falls.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:04pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Julie and all. Darkness and raindrops are falling up here.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:05pm Julie:

hiya Ken!
  8:06pm Nick:

It so rarely rains here, despite being by the water =(
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Julie:

we already had a big thunderstorm early in the day I wonder if more is coming.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:08pm Ken From Hyde Park:

(Correction: things are falling down, not up. I hope I didn't startle anyone.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08pm Scott67:

G'day Ken.πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸŒβ˜€οΈ. Some sunshine down here, for the first time in a week of rain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10pm Scott67:

The Sun is coming up, not down!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Scott67:

Ignatius!! He's an Aussie groundbreaker.πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Doug in JC:

I think I just heard some thunder in Jersey City. I went for a walk earlier to gawk at the usual flooded roads and people trying to drive through them
  8:14pm Nick:

Here comes the sun dit dit doo dooh... here comes the sun...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Julie:

ah I was wondering if you'd know him!
  8:16pm Nick:

Sqeeek sqeek eeek eek? eek eek ? eek i??IIii?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Doug in JC:

Nick, there's always music software for those of us with declining motor skills
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Scott67:

I think he's Artistic Director of something in Sydney now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm Scott67:

Not Aussie, but bloody loud as one!πŸ‘πŸ˜‰
  8:18pm Nick:

Going to space to visit sounds boring. If you can't build a space fort to camp at for a few years.
Avatar 8:18pm Cp304:

Ironybread told me earlier I should decipher bird talk.. this must be a sign
  8:19pm Nick:

Irony bread might have said that. but most birds just want more bread i suspect.
Avatar 8:19pm Cp304:

Maybe if I play it backwards..
Avatar 8:20pm Cp304:

I thought it was crackers Nick?
  8:20pm Nick:

If you put crackers and bread both in, at equal distances, burrard has a way to test that.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:21pm Julie:

hiya cp304!
  8:22pm Nick:

Hmn. Maybe to stave off boredom i could put the guitar on craigslist barter and see what kind of zany offers people give for it.
Avatar 8:22pm Cp304:

Howdy Julie, gonna crank it up and hop in shower
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm bbxtina:

thanks for the jams Julie -- I love space and looking at the stars, but i unno about going there . for now i think i enjoy contemplating the vastness of the universe from me lil lawn chair
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:24pm Julie:

sounds good to me, bbxtina!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm bbxtina:

it's true tho, i feel like the millionaires must be bored of this planet lol good riddance
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:27pm Julie:

I wonder if we could decrease travel time by going into space. like I've never been to australia the flight time scares me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm Scott67:

Julie, by the time we reopen our borders, it will probably be a thing.πŸŒπŸš€
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm bbxtina:

yeah long flights, especially with a mask now, are kind of a struggle. Flying back to Mtl from Winnipeg on monday and im already dreading the 4hrs back. I can't imagine anything longer
Avatar 8:35pm Cp304:

Is that Hepburn with the hip headphones? She’s my fav
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Julie:

I will have to fly for labor day, not looking forward to it. Only about 4 hours but yeah with mask and unruly passengers it seems a lot!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:36pm Julie:

CP304 it is! And she said, about saturdays, β€œI have to be alone very often. I'd be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That's how I refuel."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm bbxtina:

The funniest thing about flying is when the flight attendant said "continuous snacking is breaking the mask rules, on the aeroplane"
Avatar 8:36pm Cp304:

No kidding? No wonder I like her
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm bbxtina:

covid = the death of continuous snacking
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:37pm Julie:

she seems to have been a really interesting lady
Avatar 8:38pm Cp304:

She liked her records I think..
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:38pm Julie:

now we are continuously snacking at home
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm bbxtina:

continuous solo snacking from saturday till monday morning, yes
Avatar 8:40pm Cp304:

My phone screen is Aubrey black and white photo sitting on steps in house reaching for 12. β€œS next to the record player.. Props to Simon Idol for that one years ago!

Ignatius Jones was singer for Jimmy and the Boys.
Very gay, wild live show.
Keyboardist Joylene Thornbirds Hairmouth ran for senate in 1983.
I voted for her, but didn't get up
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 8:44pm Julie:

I will have to check out the band. Hiya Aitch!
  8:45pm Nick:

  9:10pm Nick:

Oh no. I might be buying another project car. A guy put one for sale for 200 bucks on craigslist because he wants to get rid of it .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm bbxtina:

what kind of car!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm bbxtina:

the climate in winnipeg keeps older cars in very nice condition. I was thinking of buying one and driving home but didnt find anything i fancied
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Julie:

I miss the days when you could get a guy on craigslist
  9:14pm Nick:

an older camaro
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:15pm Julie:

oh man I've always wanted a camaro. and yet I went for a Mini again
  9:15pm Nick:

tina, thing is, i already have 3 novas, an alfa, a p71, and a pickup truck. I keep trying to sell the ones i have and not buy more. but i keep seeing amazing deals x.x
  9:16pm Nick:

Julie, yes, you want a camaro; not a project camaro ^_^
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Julie:

when I first learned to drive my dad wanted to buy me one but my mom wouldn't let him
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Scott67:

Was wondering when we'd see some Floyd.✌😎
  9:18pm Nick:

Julie, ah, you're the right vintage for the 2nd of my novas then. Do you like the color green?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm bbxtina:

just be that guy who rents them out to movies. I met a guy in WPG like that. he has an airstream and an el camino, the most perfect 80s chevy pickup. collecting cars seems nice
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:18pm Julie:

depends on the shade. my sister had a forest green mustang, that was pretty
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:19pm Julie:

yes! I have a friend in Riverdale that rents his cars out!
  9:19pm Nick:

tina I'd rather sell them all to that guy, and have more space in my garage and driveway again ^_^
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm bbxtina:

hahah he would buy them, i should link you up haha
  9:20pm Nick:

Julie, it's a darkened candy tint of 'stryker' green' sort of looks like a can of sprite or mt dew.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm bbxtina:

he just sold his 70s winnebago
  9:20pm Nick:

The seats in those are too small for me.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:22pm Julie:

When I was very small we travelled in one of those big campers along the south to look at colleges for my sister
  9:22pm Nick:

Why am i describing the green when i can just show it, here julie, i will send you a photo.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:23pm Julie:

okay! I would like to just drive around the country but it's hard to leave the birds for long
  9:23pm Nick:

Maybe I should email pepsi and see if they'd send me a free mt dew sticker. hmmn.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:25pm Julie:

how do you email a pepsi? it won't fit
  9:26pm Nick:

Of course you crush it first.
  9:26pm Nick:

I've got my spine I've got my orange crush?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm bbxtina:

i prefer 7up - the uncola
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:28pm Julie:

why call it 7up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm bbxtina:

they needed their own identity
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm bbxtina:

although if they branded it simply as "Uncola" i would have still bought it because it sounds pretty cool. the clear version of cola
  9:34pm Nick:

The paint doesnt really look like 7 up. Hmmn
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:34pm Julie:

and what happen to Ups 1-6?
  9:35pm Nick:

They got dissolved and blended into 7. Sort of like a cocktail version of Voltron.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:36pm Julie:

isn't vision voltron? or iike PART of him?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 9:41pm Julie:
