Joe, after this New Order record, though, those frogs had to stoop to working for Budweiser just to maintain the hedonistic showbiz lifestyle they'd grown accustomed to. The Behind the Music episode on it is kind of tragic.

Quentin Tarantino needs to leverage "Because" in his next film, perhaps one set in the early 60s.

when squatting in London in the late 80s, I was the only one with a child so everyone went to the pub and I could not... When they came home (pubs closed 10-11 then)..I would go out for a long cycle from Stoke Newington to the Thames.. Found a Scot frustrated that the Tube was closed and he had to get to parish west London. I told him get up on the bike and I cycled him there... On the bike he said !@#$%^&*
this is something that might happen in Glasgow but not in London!!! He took me up to his Bed-sit and played on his git: Caladonia -Yer Always on my Mind..
Amazing night ... tried to get him into a squat but no phones then and we lost contact....

@morphe: Great story. When do pubs close now, generally? I recall getting booted in the middle of the afternoon back in the early 80s.
They closed in the 80's on Sundays so men went home to their families for the family meal...
Thanks Joe and
especially for the end tune..
and thanks all...
