I think we're mostly whole, clarke, and honestly glad to be home and dealing with only home-based problems.

Frank, I think we beat the bedbugs, praise be. Just the regular NYC infestation that we can't seem to beat.

But we seem fully recovered from COVID. The remaining cats are very affectionate as they adjust their social order.

AND we met up with Corey and his wonderful family in Michigan and had a very fruitful alcohol exchange! (And a very pleasant afternoon!)

That track "Who Cares?" blew my mind. Never heard that before, but now I'm going to get the album. Best Western Swing guitar playing I've heard in a long time. When I heard it was Redd Volkaert, it made perfect sense. At first I thought it was Hank Garland reincarnated! One of the best tracks I've heard in a long time, major thanks for spinning that one.

Nice shoutout for Redd. I walked into Robert's Western Wear in Nashville one afternoon in the early 90's and Redd was doing afternoon gigs with some of Cash's band behind him. He blew our minds. We stayed all afternoon and came back the next day. Been a fan since. We just picked up his record collection which I'm listing right now. Lots of cool, offbeat country and guitar records. Many Canadian pressings. Redd told us pretty much every record he ever bought was so he could "learn a lick." They're pretty played and Redd was not great at putting stuff in the inner sleeves!
