	6:20am Revolution Rabbit Nov63: Yup w-i-d-e Stereo / extreme panning / stereo separation. George Martin went back & remixed Help! & RubberSoul so they were less so - if I have that right. But we used to test our Left & Right speakers connections that way - since completely different things were coming out of them. You could also use your Balance knob to do your own Isolated Trax in that way to an extent... As for TheBeatles' Mono mixes - & those of many 1960s Artists in fact - they were different from the Stereo mixes - which means novelty appeal first off - & they common belief is they were the main market @ the time - & therefore got more attention from Producer Martin & the Engineers - with the Stereo a relative afterthought. That may be more or less true. Also of course - Mono mixes are often Punchier & more muscular as it were. I find for TheBeatles - this is often true, but it depends on the track in question how much this applies ? (Ticket to Ride is one example - & all of Sgt. Pepper is another...) & as for better or worse - they're just different. & the Mono well worth becoming acquainted with !

	6:20am Revolution Rabbit Nov63: Yup w-i-d-e Stereo / extreme panning / stereo separation. George Martin went back & remixed Help! & RubberSoul so they were less so - if I have that right. But we used to test our Left & Right speakers connections that way - since completely different things were coming out of them. You could also use your Balance knob to do your own Isolated Trax in that way to an extent... As for TheBeatles' Mono mixes - & those of many 1960s Artists in fact - they were different from the Stereo mixes - which means novelty appeal first off - & they common belief is they were the main market @ the time - & therefore got more attention from Producer Martin & the Engineers - with the Stereo a relative afterthought. That may be more or less true. Also of course - Mono mixes are often Punchier & more muscular as it were. I find for TheBeatles - this is often true, but it depends on the track in question how much this applies ? (Ticket to Ride is one example - & all of Sgt. Pepper is another...) & as for better or worse - they're just different. & the Mono well worth becoming acquainted with !
