Jeff, I knew she was in NYC but not her spouse. Very cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am

Bridget St. John is still performing. I think she had a gig very recently. Or rather there was a 75th birthday celebration last weekend, Sunday Oct 3. From David Nagler:
"Bridget St. John's birthday show @ Union Pool in Williamsburg — one of my favorite musicians and people will be celebrating 75 years starting at 6pm in the courtyard, and Ray Rizzo, Eddie Carlson, and I will be accompanying her. There will be cake and special guests, tickets are available here."

Gerry from Miami:

Mornin', Bob! You are quite right about that first Procol Harum album. "Whiter Shade" kinda swamped the rest of the record. What bugs me, though, is the failure of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to recognize this most worthy band for a career of fantastic records. Brooker, Fisher, Trower and tbe late BJ Wilson, one of rock's best drummers ever.
  12:14pm
Gina Bacon:

Thanks, Bob!
  12:15pm
Gerry from Miami:

Bob, did you really play songs from THREE(!) artists who have been snubbed by the R&R Hall of Fame this morning? Procol Harum, the Monkees and Andy Partridge/XTC are all way beyond Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode and many others who have received induction. Shaking my head with disbelief......

The Mike & Mickey folks said they cancelled Nashville, but it seems like they played here, after all. Not sure if that was about covid protocol, or not.
  12:24pm

Gerry from Miami, Procol Harum certainly deserves better than a just their A Whiter Shade of Pale single inducted into the R and R Hall of Fame.

  12:45pm
Gerry from Miami:

@Eugene Bentley. Thanks for reminding everybody about "Whiter Shade's" being in the Hall as a "classic" single. But I won't sleep soundly till Jann Wenner and his gang get their act together and induct Procol Harum, the band, to full membership. I know it's unlikely they will ever do so, but at least some of us have made our opinion known.
  12:55pm
Gerry from Miami:

BOB, your propensity(and good taste) to play Spooky Tooth and Mike Harrison projects on a regular basis spurs me to suggest that(unless you already did it!) you do some kind of tribute set to Gary Wright. Everyone knows his big international hits, but his discography is a lot larger and richer than most listeners might think. I saw Mr. Wright at a number of road runs in the Palos Verdes/San Pedro area of southern California back in the late 70s, early 80s. Super musician and a very nice gentleman.

@TDK60. Right with ya, man! I played the heck out of that first Earth Opera LP. Peter Rowan and David Grisman went down different paths when that band broke up. But both are superb musicians. Were you a fan of Pearls Before Swine as well?
Avatar 1:15pm
TDK60:

Gerry, yep, a P.B.S. fan too. A unique psych LP, that 1st E.O. Bob, could ya play 'Death By Fire' off that, when I'm in a dark mood someday?
