Favoriting October 16, 2021: Singles Going Steady: DJ Husband vs. DJ Wife XIII
Singles Going Steady arrives a week early this year for the Inflatable Squirrel Carcass as DJ Wife is unavailable next week. My suggestion of DJ Husband vs. DJ Surrogate Wife XIII, as a one-off special edition of our annual musical love battle at 45 rpm next week, was met with the kind of stare that no amount of squirrelsplainin’ could make go away, hence the hour of me, hour of she, hour of we, will air this evening.

Mr. Pumpy:

I'm a little more pumped up than usual at this time of the week/night. I just got back from NYC where I saw Ron Carter play in a trio at Dizzy's Club. It was amazing. Table seats about ten feet from the stage! Mike LeDonne (piano) and the formidable Joe Farnsworth on drums. Good stuff, Rich and friends!

I finish a gaming thang with Handy Haversack at 6PM most Sundays, so I will prolly do the headphones and occasional check in...or just listen silently. Anyhow...I know you don't need to know this. this is what 1AM and a night of jazz in NYC does to this fella.

We went to a Rob Weissberg live broadcast pre-pandemic, and of course they’re a whole bunch of WFMU people there… Park slope… And we were all asking each other about what our favorite shows were in this one dude was just like inflatable squirrel congressman….. might have been a little drunk, or more likely that’s what I thought he said and it made it funnier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am
Mr. Pumpy:

@Dave, no. I have been working so much overtime. I wasn't done until 9PM and then I basically had to hit the sack in order to be ready to drive to the train in Clifton from work today and make it over to Columbus Circle by 5:15ish. I'm happy to be busy, but it takes it's toll. Handy, K8t, and I are going to check out Screaming Females next week...so that's something.

hey mr p i get the excitement we are going to venture into the vanguard at the end of next month as i feel i am ready for a basement with live jazz. the stone opens up this week but they have too strict a policy (vax proof and a negative prc test within seven days of a show) so i'll wait on that.

Sorry to be that poster that keeps going but… My new favorite Anejo tequila is called Gritona, which literally means screaming females. It comes in recycled Coke bottle glasses from Mexico…. And to the best of my understanding all female tequila company in most respects.

Glistener MW:

I would totally vote for an inflatable squirrel congressperson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am
Mr. Pumpy:

@rich...vax proof and a PCR? Crikey! While I like the safety of it all...it's a lot of running around and/or moolah. We'll just have to float by on the carcass with a shotgun microphone patched into an 8 output headphone setup!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am
Mr. Pumpy:

@Dave...good to know! I should bring a 750ml to the show for the band.

i'll have to post what's going on the rest of the week when i get back into the studio as for some reason the computer in the library does not maintain the linkage
