Hello everyone. Sadly, I've been called away to a three-day residential event for the Licensed Victuallers Associations. I have to give a talk entitled "I Can't Find My Mind: Beverage Retail and the Implications of Modern Psycho-Active Drug Research."

I've put PK in charge of the bar and I want everyone to drink, frug and be merry. And make sure GG doesn't overdo it on the Malbec. See you all next week.

Tubruk means collision in Malay. A Kopi Tubruk means something like 'colliding coffee'. This name is quite appropriate as the water is poured directly over the coffee. The collision of the water with the coffee creates a drinkable cup of coffee of a slightly different character than filter coffee.
