Newer kitten pix in my profile: also! a pretty nifty offer there from K8 for one-of-a-kind lathe-cut 45s of a live C&K song that you request and that they will dedicate to you. Their profits from the preoder are going to the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Nez not only made wonderful music during and especially after The Monkees, but also gave The Penny Arkade a chance, a pity their album was not released at the time. IT'S SO GOOD. Only those lucky enough to get the Craig Smith solo albums heard the songs (in heavily reverb-processed form) until it finally got its release in, ummm, 2004?

Speaking of solo Floyd, until reading Nick Mason's autobiography I had no idea there was a choice between two albums Pink Floyd would start working on around 77(?); The Wall and Pros & cons of hitch hiking. Meaning Roger Waters had brought home demos for both. Funnily enough, tracks from Pros & cons, Gilmour's 1982 solo and R. Wright's Zee project were the very first PF-related music I ever heard, they were played on Finnish radio back in may-84

Because of hand-me-downs from my brother, I started with Ummagumma ! Which I think I actually tripped out on when *really* young before actual drugs. Derided as a placeholder tho' it may be by themselves.

Thanks for the history lesson, David. I knew the actual founding of the city had to be at the time of Roman Empire's dominance. Coincidentally, the year of London's Great Fire was also the year of the founding of the township I currently live at now, Piscataway Twp., the name deriving from the term used by the natives that once settled the land to mean "It is getting dark". There is also a town in Maryland by the same name, just due south of the nation's capital.
