my first experience was Vin's Scelsa's Closet late on a November 1968 night as Dylan's Mighty Quinn played hauntingly through my bedroom radio, static and all.
These days it takes me 5 hours to listen to your program by the time I replay 1/2 of your masterpieces and compelling commentary.

@Bob Brainen: You got me, as always! Beach Boys reunion album wasn't bad (if a little heavy on the AutoTune), but The Monkees' Good Times was rather superb, wasn't it? Much credit should go to the late and extremely lamented Adam Schlesinger's production.

The only Steely Dan I've heard is piped into the healthfood stores everywhere and margarita bars in Santa Barbara. It's more of a bad assiciation to a time and place that makes me cringe than the actual music.
