my first experience was Vin's Scelsa's Closet late on a November 1968 night as Dylan's Mighty Quinn played hauntingly through my bedroom radio, static and all.
These days it takes me 5 hours to listen to your program by the time I replay 1/2 of your masterpieces and compelling commentary.

The only Steely Dan I've heard is piped into the healthfood stores everywhere and margarita bars in Santa Barbara. It's more of a bad assiciation to a time and place that makes me cringe than the actual music.
